Didn't know you could do that. Sounds like a plan.Buy it from Origin, return it within 24 hours if it doesn't work.
Thanks!

You've been gaming "hardcore" since 1984? Lol sorry not trying to pick on you, just trying to imagine "hardcore" gaming on an Atari...For others like myself find a game controller far more intuitive than keyboard and mouse, despite having been gaming hardcore for the last 30 years.....
No lie, man. Way off on that one.You have no idea what boot camping is if you think it's the same as virtualisation.

I've been gaming since around the same timeframe, but as I was ~7 I'm not sure I was doing anything "hardcore." I started with consoles (Nintendo) and eventually moved to PC for anything FPS/RTS and console for 3rd person action/adventure or sports.
You think only the Atari was out then.
I started with 3D Monster Maze on the ZX81
Followed with owning ... Spectrum 48k, Vic 20, C64, BBC Elite, Acorn Electron, Atari 2600, Spectrum 128k, NES, Amiga, Megadrive, Super Nintendo, IBM PC, 3DO, Philips CDi, Gameboy, Gameboy Color, Sega Saturn, Playstation, Nintendo 64, Sega Dreamcast, Gameboy Advance, Gameboy DS, Playstation 2, GameCube, Panasonic Q, Xbox, Xbox 360, PSP, Nintendo DSi, Playstation 3, Nintendo 3DS, 3DSXL, PS Vita, Wii U, Playstation 4, Xbox One.....
Add to that my iMac G3, iMac G4, Powermac, PowerBook, MacBook, MacBook Pro, Mac Pro's etc.
So yes... Some of us have been gaming for a long long time.......
REAL GAMERS play on Apple computers and Playstations. All other options are inferior and a waste of time.![]()
First of all, Boot Camp is native Windows, no virtualisation. Second, Ive been running the Titanfall beta on my late 2010 MacBook Air. All settings are set to low, but it still runs. Your MacBook Pro will handle it just fine.
Minimum specs are out so I thought this may be worth revisiting.
Min: 64-bit Windows 7, 8, 8.1
AMD Athlon X2 2.8GHz or Intel Core 2 Duo 2.4GHz
4GB RAM
512MB VRAM, Radeon HD 4770 or GeForce 8800GT

Would this run at all on a 2012 Macbook Air thru bootcamp? Low/mid settings? 30 or 60 fps? I have 8GB RAM. 13in model with the Intel i5.
I'm kinda in the same boat as the OP. Don't really want to buy an xbox one just for this game alone.
The 2 systems that can't currently play the game on the tread title... LOL..![]()
you tried titanfall on 2010 air and it played? cause everywhere i read about titanfall and playing with the igpu and not discrete they said had graphic issues cause the game needed discrete gpu (650m / 750m) and couldn't play with intel's one
Hmmm, I'm wondering if this game will get me to (a) get the dust off my xBox 360 or (b) buy a xBox One. I've got bootcamp on my Mac, so if I delete a few games, I can load this on there as well.
There seems to be a number of options. I wonder which one will be best.
Does anyone know if Xbox one and 360 will be able to play together? Then I could play with my one friend who has a One. I assume there will be no cross playing between PC and Xbox because of consistent issue that Keyboard and mouse gives too big an advantage over controller in competition.
I believe Xbox one and PC can play together but not 360
If you use a controller then there is a certain amount of aim assist to counter the advantage of using k/m

There isn't much advantage between the kb+m and Xbox controller from what I've seen. My kid played Titanfall beta from day one to close on my PC gaming rig with a wireless Xbox controller, and he consistently finishes at the top 2 in matches with mostly max level 14 players.
I personal think it's a bad idea to mix Xbox one and PC players together. PC's could have an unfair advantage over Xbox one players... and I'm not talking about kb+m vs controller.
One thing is that PC players can play at higher resolution. The Xbox beta could only do 720p, and there is talk that it go up to 900p when it releases. PC players already can play at 1080p, 1440p... and there are a lot of PC gamers that play on 120hz to 144hz monitors with higher FPS... which helps decrease input lag. If you don't think that makes a difference, my kid plays BF4 on the PS4 on 42" TV and his KDR is average... but his KDR is a lot better playing BF4 on my PC on 120hz 24" monitors.
I think another unfair advantage is there are PC players that play with 3 monitors (Nvidia Surround, Eyefinity)... like myself... in 5760x1080 or 7680x1440 resolution. The field of view is a lot wider, and you can spot enemies on the side monitors that others can't see playing on a single monitor or TV.
For those reasons, I don't think it's a good idea... but I could be wrong. I think it's cool if they can mix both PC and Xbox one players to compete against one another.![]()
There isn't an advantage because those who use controllers are getting aim assistance. Otherwise, you'd see it.
