With the Note 8, you can also hit the Bixby button and say "take a screen shot"!
Or palm swipe to capture. That’s always been my favourite.

Also you can use the S-pen.

Thank You! :)
[doublepost=1508275901][/doublepost]I think I am going to stick with Apple products I just can't get over the seamless syncing espcially for my business taking pictures it's literally on my iPad or when I am live and get a text message to my phone it goes to my iPad right away. I do love the Note but feel like for my business it will be better to stick with Apple. Hope I am making the right choice for the X.
I have come to the same conclusion as you. I’m also sticking with Apple. No side devices lol

Sure
[doublepost=1507764056][/doublepost]

I moved to Google Photos. Like it better than iCloud and Apple Photos overall. Syncs seamlessly across all devices (iOS, Windows, Android).

Note 8 allows you to set up a Geofence for unlocking. If your phone is around your home or work, or around a connected Bluetooth device like a headset or watch, it will unlock without a passcode.

On of the most underrated features on Android. Location unlocking.

I had this dilemma but yesterday picked up a Note 8. Lovely phone.

The screen is where the Samsung phones really outshine the competition.

Just FYI, Google Photos works the same way. I take a pic on my iPad or Note 8, and it shows up on the other device very quickly. I take tons of photos in the field for my job and have never had a problem. The photos are also instantly available on my google photos web page (with free unlimited storage, unlike the $$ for icloud storage).

Yes, great feature for quick screen shots.

Hello everyone I am torn what to do as I currently have a iPhone 7 Plus and I have to say it has been the worst iPhone yet, overheats on me then shuts off when I am doing my business Facebook live.
There has been antenna issues galore on this phone dropped calls static etc, all my previous iPhone's have never had these issues.
I pre ordered the new 8 Plus but returned it because I didn't notice a difference between the two devices and felt like I was honestly holding my 7 plus. I also have a new car with a charging pad and the wireless charging wouldn't work on it because the plus is to wide.
Long story short I want to try the Note8 I know its a completely different phone but also curious if I should give the X a shot before making this decision as I am worried I won't be able to notice a big difference since Apple doesn't make huge upgrades on their phones lately (my personal opinion).
I do have a MacBook and a iPad so everything syncs seamlessly and I love that and can also answer text messages on my iPad if I am live for my business.
Has anyone on here had the Note8 and went back to iPhone or the other way around?
What is your opinion for my dilemma I am so torn I guess I am a Apple fan by heart but getting bored of the same stuff but feel the X may be what I am looking for it looks totally different.
Hoping the X will fit on my wireless charging pad, does anyone have a template that I could cutout and try in my car I know this was done a few years ago when the Plus was first released.
Thanks so much for any help in making my decision :)

The only question you should be considering is iOS or Android.

With iOS your choices are easier.

With Android you have more brands to choose from and within those brands more models.

Choose your OS and go from there.

My Note 8, iPad Pro, Surface Pro, and MacBook Pro all live in perfect harmony. The exception is iMessage, which I don't use anyway since many of my clients and friends do not use an Apple phone.
I meant that a lot of Apple fans will buy another Apple product because...they've already bought other Apple products. It's pretty stupid especially since like you've said, you can use devices with different manufacturers pretty easily if you want. But Apple has tapped into the type fanaticism reserved for the most hardcore of religions. Even when they "give other companies a chance", they seem to switch back quickly as though they are looking for the first excuse to go back. It's pretty incredible stuff.

Agree. I was in the Apple-only camp for a long time because Apple products made my work life easier. But I always swore that if Apple ever started making my life more frustrating, I would seek alternatives. Well, that has started to happen over the last two years and now I am off to a Note 8 and Surface Pro. IMHO, these devices are now better than their Apple counterparts. Not without their own issues of course, but the great features on the Note 8 and Surface Pro make up for those issues. For my Apple products, the negative issues are not compensated by any great features, just by good-looking curves (notwithstanding the X notch).

At one point I dreamt of having the money to afford a MacBook Pro because there wasn't anything close to it on the market. Same thing with the iPhone 3gs I bought when it was by some margin the best phone you could get. Now look at their portfolio. It's sad.

How do you do you sync it all?

Is there anyway to get a text message on your iPad from your note 8? that syncs seamlessly?

Or just maybe they just rather use IOS and don't like android

I like having all apple products as they work perfectly together and it's the same for many people. Android is great for what it provides but doesn't fit as well than IOS devices do with each other.

It’s not that I dislike android it’s just that I prefer iOS and as you say like the way all my Apple devices work together seamlessly. An android device doesn’t fit in with my other Apple devices.

On the android side there isn’t the same level of integration and for certain devices e.g iPad and Apple Watch I think that the android equivalent is not as good imo.

Also I don’t ever want a windows computer ever again.

I don’t think there is anything wrong in buying a device simply because you’ve bought one before. Maybe you’ve been happy with your experience so naturally you would want to repeat that same great experience.

I sent my note8 back I feel like maybe it wasn’t a good decision but I will try the X and take it from there.
