This was my first pocket PC phone, an iPAQ with a sprint 1xrt CF modem using VOIP, it was before any cellular model came out. I miss that setup, only because it required so much tinkering that was fun. Lol, I even remember the side grips on the iPAQ were removable and you could buy those aluminum ones like in the picture.

My first pocket pc was the Phillips nino. First windows ce device switched to a palm pilot v with a Bluetooth sd card that paired with my Ericsson cell phone to get online. It was archaic.

My collection dates back to the Early 90s. When mobile phone were the size of little suitcases. Lol those didn’t have any batteries you had to plug it in to the car . Those were just the ones I picked up between 2003-2007.

Nice... guess I'll have to stop giving you a hard time about trying to say everyone is fleeing the Note 8? (but they really aren't! :D )

I was disappointed to see that the battery has kind of popped open on the G1000... need to go through all of my old ones and see if any will still charge and power on.

I remember carrying this guy around because my pocket PC setup wasn't stable, I really only used it for data/internet browsing and occasional VOIP. I loved this little phone because it actually fit inside that little tiny pocket jeans have inside the front pocket.

Don’t worry about.
Didn’t really take it personally.

Those were so popular.

This was my second Motorola phone. It was so expensive at the time. Not to mention the service charges.

He likes getting a hard time. I've been reading his drivel since HowardForums

Good grief, how old are you people!?

My first phone was a 3210 and it was already 2 years old when I got it. Think I was around 11yearsold (2001).

Looked exactly like this, until I got it this really cool graffiti cover that had rubbery areas that glowed in the dark.

I traded in one of my Note 8s for the V30 for it's quad DAC, and wide angle camera. I still have a second Note 8 (Orchid Gray) for my business line, and it's a keeper.

I returned the iPhone 8+ because it froze ( more than once ) on 11.0.3 requiring a full reset!! That just pissed me off enough to send it packing, and back to my trusty Qualcomm 7+ with 10.3.3

The Note 8 is a beast of a device and if only had one, I'd keep that over getting the V30. Honestly, if I could only keep one device, the Note 8 would be it.

Having said that, I did see a bit of stutter creep up on the Note 8, especially after a fresh reboot. Nothing significant, but it does get some stutter / frame drops. The V30, on the other hand, is ever so slightly more fluid/responsive. The iPhone 8+ on iOS 11 was a major fail, for me, with it's lag fest, app crashes ( built in mail app ), app updates taking forever, app store crashing, and frame drops.

Yes, I do, I had a iPad 4 (what originally brought me to this forum) for around 4years and now a iPad Air 2 which I will upgrade next year to possibly a Pro.

No wonder you hate iOS so much.
IPad Air 2 has the A8 chip from 2014. Ouch.

What exactly about these pictures is appealing to you? That is a serious question.

What I see in picture one is a shape with the very curved edges and chrome looking frame reminds me of the original iPhone, and the notch just screams out as ugh... worse in pictures that are landscape and its on the side. After a short time with the Note 8, those curved corners look dated to me. On the back, big hunk of camera sticking out like that on one corner messes up the symmetry on several levels. You can love the X or not, but looking at the pics I just don't get it.

Of course there is a narrative or agenda... that is why I challenged the notion that there is some big body of people running away from the Note 8. There are definitely comments from some of the supposed leavers that lead me to believe that they have never even used one.

If there is "not much different", why spend close to $1K to "upgrade"? That is where I found myself.

On the AW, my experience is completely the opposite of yours. Countless times the AW has told me to stand up when I was already doing something; or the annoying telling me to breath. The Gear S3 first off doesn't tell me to breath. It also doesn't tell me to just stand up. It tells me to stretch, do lateral twists, etc.. and it checks that I'm doing them. It automatically knows when I'm sleeping and tracks it. It knows when I'm working out and starts to track that. But the UI and rotating dial are just a better interface, particularly at the gym when you are sweaty.

Yeah, I turn that Breath off real fast. That irritates me the most. But it was more accurate on recognizing when I moved though.

I dislike iOS from the day I get the device brand new while it's still the latest at time of purchase, so it's all the same but I require a device with it with me to keep up with what is going on in iOS.

Unless you are trying to say the A6X has always sucked and the A8 has always sucked, that would be very interesting :)

It was still doing ok before I upgraded it to the iPad Pro 10.5 in July. However I don’t think it would have done well on iOS 11. The A8X was quite a lot better than the standard A8 though.

If you’re used to android and all the things it can do then I understand that iOS can seem frustrating and limited.

Does anyone here know how we will be able to screenshot on the iPhone X since the home button was removed.

I think the same way as on android. Holding the power button and volume down button simultaneously.

Edit it’s actually the power button and the volume up key.

Thank You! :)
[doublepost=1508275901][/doublepost]I think I am going to stick with Apple products I just can't get over the seamless syncing espcially for my business taking pictures it's literally on my iPad or when I am live and get a text message to my phone it goes to my iPad right away. I do love the Note but feel like for my business it will be better to stick with Apple. Hope I am making the right choice for the X.
