Tethering works 100%, just paired my 3GS to my MacBook thru Bluetooth and sent to Settings > General > Network and flipped Tethering On. MacBook recognized asked me if I wanted over BlueTooth or USB, I said Bluetooth and right now (even though I have Wi-Fi) I am testing the network. So far so good.

MMS so far, is only a bag of hurt

Edit - Pic or it didn't happen

i setup my bluetooth between iphone and macbook but cant keep it connected... keeps disconnecting

help

This is interesting, last night my iphone was on the 1500 iPhone plan and MMS absolutely would not work. I just tried sending one again, and to my surprise it worked. I did notice that in my account my plan switched to the "messaging 1500". I didn't set this up, nor did I swap my sim into another phone since last night.

I'm going to try this today again in orange county on my phone and my GFs. She has the family text and I don't. Well see what happens.

It just worked for me!!! I first tried yesterday and they would never go thru. I thought I would try again today and sent one to myself and it worked. I'm in Katy, TX

Hell naw...I'm in Houston, (Spring), and still no go!! I want my MMS!!

All my complaining and I forgot to ask you the ? I wanted to ask. Did you have to reset your data network settings or reboot the phone? Or just checked and voilà it was working?

I believe on 27 September AT&T is activating MMS on all Iphones. Maybe it's activated early for testing.

I updated to 3.1,, and 5.1, and rebooted and reset my network settings.

No go in Portland, Oregon.

There's no downside to leaving the 5.1 ipcc on our phones right? I wouldn't think there is.

LOL. That's how I felt yesterday!! I reset network settings yesterday and rebooted and nothing. Have you tried today? That's all I did today was to resend the ones that failed from yesterday. I've been sending and receiving with no problems. My sister is probably tired of getting mms messages though! Oh and not sure if matters but I'm on a family plan with unlimited messaging.

San Jose, CA 3.1 w/ AT&T5.1. / Family text plan. It's a go

I'll try it later on my other non-family text plan iPhone.

Laguna Beach, CA: Working. Successfully sent pic to iPhone that did not have MMS activated.

Could somebody please give a run through of how to set-up tethering with a Mac. As per earlier post, I do not have any switch on Settings -> General -> Network (on my iPhone). Thanks!
