Im in the New Orleans area, and my MMS is working now. I just installed the carrier ipcc file, and voila MMS. Sent to a friend without an iphone, but my friends with iphones i get error.

Im on 3GS with 3.0.1 JB and 5.1 carrier file.

First time attempting to upload new ipcc file.

3GS Jailbroken, running 3.0 OS, with original 4.0 carrier file.

Downloaded the 5.1 ipcc file mentioned at the beginning of the thread, updated to iTunes 9.0, and used the command prompt callout to trick iTunes to allow me to upload ipcc files.

When attempting to load the 5.1 carrier file, I'm getting the following error:

"The iPhone "XXX" could not be updated. An unknown error occurred (0xE800003D)."

Anyone seen this? Any ideas besides restoring?

Same exact situation

Please post screenshots--My billing address (and cell phone number) is located on Long Island and if NYC is up and functional then Long Island isn't too far behind.

I should have clarified, billing address is NJ but using in NYC.

Tethering works 100%, just paired my 3GS to my MacBook thru Bluetooth and sent to Settings > General > Network and flipped Tethering On. MacBook recognized asked me if I wanted over BlueTooth or USB, I said Bluetooth and right now (even though I have Wi-Fi) I am testing the network. So far so good.

MMS so far, is only a bag of hurt

Edit - Pic or it didn't happen

Im in New Orleans too, and MMS is working perfectly for me.

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; U; CPU iPhone OS 3_0_1 like Mac OS X; en-us) AppleWebKit/528.18 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/4.0 Mobile/7A400 Safari/528.16)

It worked!

Reset my mms settings. Rebooted and it now works.

Thanks a bunch.

Howdo you reset your mms?

I just did a dfu restore last week. My phone is back to its original functions and I'm on 3.1.

I get the same error. I guess we're the only two.

Don't unzip the ipcc file. Then it will be seen by iTunes.

i dont understand why even after i put the command in the terminal,(and it even says command completed)(and itunes is not running when i put the command in) the file is still grey when i try and select it.

Can someone please tell me where I can grab this 5.1 carrier file? I have looked and can't find jack.

The tutorial posted has me downloaded a zip file but no carrier file is included.

Thanks

yeah i agree. the only time i see an ipcc file is when its zipped. after that its a payload folder and in the folder is a bundle file with no ipcc file in it.

I figured it out. You have to rename the zip to a .IPCC file.

Would have been nice for the tutorial to actually say that. Annoying.
