Woke up this morning to a random Pciture msg from my cousin..i was like  then I tried to send one to myself and it worked..

Im in Nyc and my billing zip code is Brooklyn ny..on a unlimited family texting plan

3gs/3.1/5.1 Carrier file

Anyone have their battery life get worse after applying the carrier file? Mine seems to have gotten worse. I had this happen in the past so I never used them till now. Now I can't restore my iPhone or else I'll end up with 3.1.

MMS working here in Central NJ today...3.1 carrier file 5.1 Didnt work early this morning, just started around 9:30 AM

I'm using iPhone OS 3.1, Un-Jailbroke, iPhone 3G.

No MMS for me. :(

I guess I'll just have to wait until the 25th, But I don't even see any traces of being able to MMS on my phone, No buttons, No Settings or anything?

Nope. I have a jailbroken 3GS with 3.0.1 and applied the new carrier file yesterday. Now I have MMS and tethering; charged my phone to 100% before bed last night and as of this morning, I have 35 mins usage, 10 hours 56 mins standby, and battery is at 94%.

Well I didn't have it. Called up ATT and said that I was tired of getting the viewmymessages notice and asked them to put me on the basic unlimited so I wouldnt anymore, and bingo good to go!

I dont have a family plan is why I did it like that.

From reading through the posts it appears that tethering is available with 3.01 but not with 3.1. Does anyone running 3.1 have tethering? If only on 3.01 is there anyway to go back to 3.01 if 3.1 has already been installed on the iPhone?

Did the Carrier file update last night, reset my phone, and sent a test MMS to myself and got an error.

Just tried it right now and it works!

Nassau County, Long Island.

I just called to do the same but the lady told me it would cause pro-rated charges due to changing my plan mid month even though the 2 packages were the same price, not to mention I would have to call back to receive MMS when they actually enable it.

Told me it would be pro-rated but no change, which it shouldn't.

And I'm receiving and sending mms now, so why call back?

hmm...good point. What was the exact wording you used? Maybe I'll just call back and have them do it.

I was on the basic unlimited before during the beta trying to get it to work, I just recently got it changed back so I could get the notices (viewmymessage crap). So when I talked to att I just said my friends are idiots and think that it is live now and Im tired of seeing the messages, can we just switch it back to regular unlimited so I dont get the notices and then on the 25th it will work itself out? Guy was like sure no problem.

I can send pictures to my girlfriend who is on version but for some reason when she sends them to me i don't get them. However I can receive them from my friend who did the carrier update on his iphone aswell. Anybody else have problems receiving them?

btw area = philly suburbs in NJ
