It works for me, just used Option to pick 5.1 carrier file. It works sent 4 or 5 so far. Haven't received any yet. Also on a 3.1 NON JAILBROKEN iPhone 3GS

Still no go in Jacksonville, Florida, so I guess no for N. Florida atm.

I had to reset my carrier settings to get Tweetie to work as well. Kept getting unsecured login errors with the the tweaked ipcc file.

Hey Randman, I'm out in Ponte Vedra and I have MMS working.

So for the most part it seems that you need a family plan for MMS to be active... Guy at work has a family plan, MMS works in his phone while mine does not since Im an individual plan... :/

For those that have MMS working, are you checking the OLAM to see if you're being charged Per Use (MMS) rather than an unlimited messaging plan?

Me to but no body has said they are from Western Mass or Northern CT and I am a chicken ;)

I'm going to try it tonight from CT. I've seen, I think, 2 others from CT saying no go but that was a few days ago and people have been seeing different results within hours of first attempts so I'll give it a go.

What settings are you using? Can you use Tweetie or a Twitter app with the ipcc file? Which ipcc file are you using? I'm on 3.1/iTunes 9.

Are you on a family plan or individual?

Id like to know too. I am 3.0.1 JB 3GS with the modded carrier file from krillr's website. I'm on Southside and still have only ever been able to send one MMS. I would think if Ponte Vedra is online for MMS than metro Jax would be also.

It's working!

I'm in Columbus, Ohio and I have MMS! I verified that I could both send and receive. BUT...I had to do some stuff to enable it:
1) I used the carrier file from the 1st page of this thread, turned phone off
2) Took the SIM card out and put it in another phone, made a few calls
3) Signed on to ATT's website and verified that it sees the other phone (and not the iphone)
4) Switched plans from the iPhone 1500 txt msg plan to the regular 1500 txt msg plan (same price)
5) Put the SIM card back in the iPhone
6) Powered up and changed MMS settings to the following:

APN: wap.cingular
Username: wap@cingulargprs.com
Password: CINGULAR1
MMSC: mmsc.cingular.com
MMS Proxy: 66.209.11.32
MMS Maxs Message Size: 614400
MMS UA Prof URL: <<leave this field blank>>

7) Rebooted iPhone
8) Sent and received messages!

I did this before about 2 months ago and it didn't work, but now it does.

Edit: By the way, I'm not on a family plan.

Well I didn't have it. Called up ATT and said that I was tired of getting the viewmymessages notice and asked them to put me on the basic unlimited so I wouldnt anymore, and bingo good to go!

I dont have a family plan is why I did it like that.

Question for you and everyone else who is using the Standard Text Plan (not iPhone or Family plan):

With MMS working, are you getting charged for these MMS? What is it showing under your OLAM account??

i turned off my wifi and it worked, wifi was on originally and it wouldn ever send, turned it off, tried to send and went perfect...

running 3.0.1 and at&t 5.1 carrier jailbroken

Md / Pa

Just to give my experiences...

Since yesterday, I've used multiple IPCC files and all kinds of different network settings without any success. I have a 3G S with OS 3.1 and carrier file 5.1 on an individual plan with unlimited text. The only way I could get MMS to work was to completely take text messaging off my account (and switch to a "pay-as-you-go" option). I sent 1 MMS and it finally went through. Switched my account back to the unlimited text and now I can't send MMS again so I think it's safe to say the text messaging plan you have is what is determining if you can or can't send MMS. Your location may still matter but, for me, it's working in northern MD / southern PA.

I'll try switching my SIM to another phone and changing my messaging plan later tonight when I get home. I'm sure, as others have said, that will work too.

Good luck let me know.

No go in Manchester, CT. 3.1/5.1 I've tried everything here. I'll try some more in a few hours and/or tomorrow.

Edit: Scratch that. It works now! I sent a photo to myself and I didn't get it until about 10 minutes later but I did get it. I just sent one to my girlfriend who has some crappy Verizon phone. I don't think she's received it yet.

cool I may try it. You on family plan or regular single?

It seems like the solution is in figuring out these settings....which one will work for your phone I guess....it worked for a few minutes on mine but then stopped working.

Any Other Carrier File Link

I tried following the carrier file link on the first page of the thread but got a message that it had been downloaded too many times. Are there any other links to this file?
