Ordered my base MBA as soon as the Apple site allowed. I received it Tuesday 17th Nov. To cut this story short my machine experienced issues that Apple couldn't sort out. They had 2 goes.
Posts the next few days show my machine need go through "config 2" install with another Mac. I was not alone, same issue for many others. Apple said there is no fix (at the time of my issue) I don't spend money on goods and then have to fix them with forced software installs. I initiated a return for the MBA and adaptors I purchased. The goods went back the next day.
I wasted hours trying to sort out an issue that Apple should have known about if they had applied due diligence pre shipping.
I could have done the config 2 as I have a MBP. But the goods were not fit for purpose.
Will I get a new MBA M1 ? not at the moment.
Was this the issue that happens when you reinstall the OS from the recovery partition? If so, very bad luck and very frustrating, indeed should have been caught by their QA. If I were you I’d be complaining until they give you some credit/discount on a replacement, has to be some good will.

Does seem to be frequent flights from Cologne to East Midlands. So distinct possibility.
Couldn’t find a UPS flight to the UK but that makes sense, the UPS planes only go between there own hubs, they must use normal scheduled third party flights to move cargo to regional airports.

Looking forward to mine arriving Tuesday or earlier god willing. I’m using a Hackintosh at the moment since selling my 2016 MacBook Pro 15 a few weeks ago (figured prices would drop like a stone) Lugging A desktop to the office everyday is a ball ache!

Expecting MBA M1, 16GB RAM, 512GB model delivery, Monday 23rd November. Not long now and excited to see the performance gains, coming from the MBA base 2018 model. Availability in UK (Argos, John Lewis) appears to be good if wanting the base entry MBA M1. Apple has had some MBA 16GB RAM 1TB models available for pickup, though stock have all sold out where I live.

I've got a MBA/16GB/1TB on order but I've been checking the store pickups so frequently that it's probably unhealthy...

My UPS package is now out for delivery in Berlin and expected to arrive between 11-14.

I hope your packages arrived in the UK and you also get them today/latest tomorrow.

All those comments about leaving the airport, while my order is still in progress ?

I ordered my MacBook Air on the 16th so let’s hope this’ll change quickly to Preparing shipment ? Been refreshing the page for days!

Delivery date says 1 Dec, so it better updates this week ?

My MBA 16gb is roughly 12 miles away from me at my local DHL depot, so its very possible I could see it today as long as the guys at the depot have enough time to process it and get it onto the van today (fingers and toes crossed they do) :)

Mine has been sitting at the DHL depot since Saturday lunchtime, it still has today as the estimated delivery day so I'm hoping it shows 'out for delivery' very soon.
It's a little frustrating because pre-covid days, I could have collected it on Saturday afternoon.

I can't for the life of me think which company it is, but there is one where you can actually track the driver and then when it gets closer it tells you how many stops they are away.

Oh how I wish they were delivering my package instead of DHL.

Happy you're all getting yours today :) I hope you're all at the front of the queue and get them early.

Amazon does that, within 10 stops it shows a map with the driver's location, I use it a lot so I know when to be in.

..... and I've got the out for delivery notification. Sadly DHL don't give estimates.

That's something.... Mine just says it passed through the local facility on Saturday. Its amazing the lack of info you get with some of the established companies compared to firms like DPD.

I hope everyone currently stuck at Eindhoven wakes up to see tracking updated in the morning.
Nope still stuck in Eindhoven. Mine has to get to Belfast. So if things start to move again today I don't see it making it here for tomorrow. More like Wednesday.
