Interesting. Our MBP's followed the same path until today. Mine is still stuck in Cologne. I received a notification from UPS at about midnight last night saying they'd missed the scheduled transfer time. At present, it's still in Cologne and the tracking states that the delivery date is now unknown. Frustrating.

Did you receive any exceptions? Or was it all plain sailing?
That's odd. I got arrived at Koeln 22/11 15.53, Released by Customs 22/11 19.59 and last update Departed from Facility Koeln, Germany 23/11 03.56

If it had left on a plane I'd have expected to see it in the UK by now.... where the F are our laptops lol

Just spoken to UPS customer service. Take the following with a pinch of salt because it sounded like she was taking a bath and had not long grasped English.

Apparently, my MBP missed the train (yep, train) in Cologne. Apparently I shouldn't expect to see it before Wednesday.

I spoke to UPS- there will be another train this afternoon, so we should expect to see an update on the system in a couple of hours time, for estimated delivery on Wednesday.

So your customer service guy/girl also referred to a train?

Received it today and is blazing fast. Can report Microsoft Office, Citrix Workspace, Ulysses, LastPass, Authy all work very well. Very happy with it.

Going to guess that this might be responsible.

Same, I am most surprised at just how well Rosetta works. I am installing WoW to see how that runs, not that it is important to what I do but its my guilty pleasure that I keep a PC for. If it runs well the PC is not going to be needed.

I've got mine and like others have said, everything feels lightning fast and incredibly snappy. Like things are on an iPad....

Its strange to hear no noise from it when setting up and see just how many programs you can open without any slowdown at all.

The screen does look brighter with richer colours than on the 2020 Air - presumably that's down to the wide cooler gamut?

I ordered a MacBook Pro in Space Gray in 16gb/512gb config on 19th November. Was told ETA of 11th-18th December when ordering, orders page now shows "Arrives 18th".

So far, have these delivery times been optimistic, about right, or pessimistic? I keep checking for updates (not necessarily expecting any!) and have managed to persuade myself that I'll somehow magically have it by early December...

I don't know if it varies depending on the country your in (I'm in Ireland) but everything I've ever ordered off Apple has come earlier than expected and thankfully my MacBook Air was no exception. I ordered 2 hours after the event, was quoted delivery of Nov 27th. After it processed it went to the 26th...once it arrived in the sorting facility it was moved to the 23rd....and it arrived 21st!

Once it left Eindhoven I had it within 24 hours, so once it leaves there you should be laughing.(it arrived in Eindhoven 17th fwiw)

2 days later I love it even more btw, its a fabulous machine, quiet as a mouse, that 2 week wait was torture but worth it.

I'm 8th-15th and am wondering the same. Refreshing even though I know there won't be updates for a good while yet ?

Was this the issue that happens when you reinstall the OS from the recovery partition? If so, very bad luck and very frustrating, indeed should have been caught by their QA. If I were you I’d be complaining until they give you some credit/discount on a replacement, has to be some good will.
I response to your reply.

After I initiated a return via collection I found out I could actually take the return to my local Apple store. A check showed it open for collections and returns.

To clarify wether I could visit my Apple store to return after arranging home collection I was put in contact with the after sales service. This was not a good experience. English was the second language to both people I spoke with and they truly never understood my question. All I got "well it should be alright" that was simply not good enough for me. So the item went back to UPS the next day. Do readers know you don't get a receipt for handing over your goods. Amazed me so I wrote one out and he signed it.

So asking the after sales team for a gesture of good will seemed pointless. They didn't fully understand the companies return policy.

As for buying a new device with the M1 chip I will wait. I have a MBA, Ipad pro and a good win 10 machine to keep me going.

The new technology in a new chassis is the next evolution. I suspect that will entice me.

Poor. Sad to hear. Experienced similar on the live chat a few months ago, battery in my 2016 MacBook Pro swelled, appointments for local Apple Store were non existent so went through a 60 minute process of arranging a collection for it to go to them.... only to find they won't ship a laptop with a faulty battery. Couldn't make it a priority for an Apple Store appointment, so despite it being too dangerous to ship its fine to be in my house. I was not amused.

Once in store though there service was top notch, qualified for a free keyboard repair which (because they replace the whole top casing) included a new battery at no cost. Had it back in under a week and Pegatron even change the display for no apparent reason (billed Apple handsomely I imagine)

So phone support poop, in store good. Lets blame covid I guess!

I assume then, that you're oblivious to world events? UPS have not done physical returns receipts since March, as soon as an item is picked up you're automatically given a digital receipt direct to your email address. UPS driver would have been well within his rights to refuse the collection.

I just received a text from DHL that delivery is due tomorrow! Online tracking hasn't updated yet. Has been saying "Shipment information received" in Eindhoven since the 17th.

Silver MBP 16GB/512GB SSD, ordered 10-20mins after event finished
