I reckon it will deliver next week.

DHL create a label in the Netherlands (Eindhoven) when Apple ship laptop from China. They handled all the China -> Europe deliveries.

Your status will update when DHL have the laptop, from various reports on this forum it generally takes between 5 and 10 days.

So it’s been 3 days at Eindhoven. Today the status still says awaiting parcel BUT it updated to have a delivery date now.

says delivery on the 8th by the end of the day.

16/512 Mini - Ordered 18th Nov, quoted delivery 16-23 Dec. On order, Apple immediately changed this to 23rd Dec.

Now in HK, Apple says delivery Tues 8th, UPS says delivery Weds 9th

DHL don’t provide an estimated time until they’ve received the package. There’s very little info on their tracking page. ?

Yeah, I feel ya. If we had Syncreon links, that’d provide the status between China & Netherlands — but seems to be hit’n’miss if you get one or not.

Might be possible to infer the numbers from order id / delivery number but I’ve not tried yet. I’d need to see and working Syncreon link first.

I would anticipate you'll get an update tomorrow morning. The type of shipping used doesn't promote activity at weekends (it is lower priority) in the UK.

So given the timeline, fully anticipate it has arrived with them Friday and it'll be 'checked through' later tonight or during tomorrow.

I'd bet some zero-value internet points that it will be with you Tuesday.

Thanks. I have known for a few days now that mine is arriving on the 8th and I am still getting very little sleep because of the anticipation! Took sleeping tablets yesterday and at least got 6 hours.

Of course, once it arrives I will then be away playing around with it, but that's better than laying awake dreaming about it.

Don't get your hopes up though. With COVID etc and me only making guesses, who knows what the reality will be. I just consider myself lucky that the worst thing going on in my life is having to stay home and wait for a new computer. What a fortunate life we lead.

I’m wondering why I still can’t track my order. It still says

Have you tried contacting Apple via their (admittedly poor) online chat service? Where did you get the tracking code from?

I got it from apple when they said that it was shipped.
Also I contacted apple chat service and they said it’s normal and that it only updates when it hits Europe. Which I’m sure isn’t true since it hasn’t even got any shipment information received. Not sure if it’ll update even when it lands in Europe tbh!

Very odd. For you to even have a tracking code would suggest that the parcel has been registered with DHL (since they're the ones issuing the tracking codes!). It is a 10 digit numerical code, right? And your tracking link looks something like: https://www.dhl.com/en/express/tracking.html?AWB=0123456789 ?

Here’s my tracking number format, it doesn’t seem to work at all.

Order confirmation said delivery expected 4th - 11th December
Order changed to "Delivery on 11th December"
Status today changed to "Shipped, Tracking information will be available shortly" with a Tracking number for DPD
I have the DPD App installed on my phone which says " We have received your order details, and we're expecting your Parcel shortly"
Once they have it I'll be able to follow its journey.
( Typing this on a 2020 i5 Air which will be going to my wife. Her 2014 Air will be passed to our daughter, everybody wins )

My DHL ref also starts with 109. No activity since it left Leipzig yesterday but with an ETA of tomorrow by COB I’m assuming it’s already at Gatwick - like many others here - and we’ll be notified in the morning.
