Which model did you order?

Mine was an M1 Max, 16" and with 64 gigs of RAM. I ordered it on the 24th October. It shiped last Wednesday and today is out for delivery at this very moment. I hope yours get delivered soon!
Mine is out for delivery today, too. I ordered 21/10. Which courier is yours with? Mine's DHL and I don't have any timed delivery window or a way to see which stop I'm on so I'm a bit blind to it.

My experience with couriers isn't great. We get carded quite a lot, and being at home today only, I just hope they don't do it on this one.

I feel like sticking a sign up "WE ARE HOME!" so they don't run out of their van, drop a card and drive off. Believe me I've watched them do it without any time to stop them.

Full of positivity here :(

Also DHL, but I had my delivery made to a locker as I'm not home today. It's already there, so quite anxious to go out of work and pick it up!
My experience with DHL has been the same as for the other people here, no updates from their pick up to this same night when it arrived and went to the distribution center. Also, no timed delivery window, but well, that's what it is I guess.

Hello everyone,
Been lurking around trying to figure out when my BTO (Base other than 32gb ram) 16 will arrive. I did have 8-15th December, which was changed to arrives Friday 8th. But now it has been changed to ‘Arriving Soon’. Anyone had anything similar to this? DHL tracking has just been lagging at Shanghai since 4th December and I wasn’t expecting any updates until 8/9th realistically but I’m a little concerned now that I have no expected shipping date..

most likely it will just go back to the 8th at some point. you won't see any updates from DHL post leaving Shanghai until its in the UK prior to delivery to you.

Mine arrived! Despite my uncalled for pessimism ;)

I’ve even switched over and did a bit of work on it this afternoon.

Worked in after effects which isn’t optimised for Apple silicone but it was a marked improvement over my 2016 MBP.

Only disappointment is a tiny nick in the side :( not sure whether to care or not. I’ve spent 4k on this thing so I’m not happy, but it’s so tiny!

I’ve included a photo.

What do you guys think?

It could potentially hurt you when it comes to resale is the first thing that comes to mind. I’d be disappointed but I don’t know how long it could take for you to get a replacement! I’m not sure my patience could take waiting again but if you can wait for a new unblemished model that seems sensible to me.

Personally, and knowing that it might be a few weeks to get another one, I’d send it back.
I’m expecting 5 years plus of usage (mine replaced a 9 year old MacBook), and even though it’s only a small nick, it would annoy the hell out of me…
For a brand new £4K device, I expect nothing short of pristine condition!!

Look at it this way. There will always be this anxious moment when you discover you put a nick in your shining macbook. Well, that sinking feeling will never happen to you!!! The nick is already there!!!

Speak to apple, pretty sure someone recently had a problem and they let them keep and use the laptop until the replacement was sent out

Thanks, I did just that this morning and they are processing an advanced replacement.

I get to use the one with the damage until the new one is manufactured and sent to me… which currently states 6-8 weeks!

Least I won’t be without a laptop between now and then.

Thanks for the advice.

Great to see they’ve done that for you too

I'm not a happy bunny.
I originally ordered a 16" Max 10/32/64Gb/1TB on 19th October. Apple tried to charge my card on 9th November but my credit card had been reissued and the payment wouldn't go through. I spent hours on web chat and on the phone with them but apparently, the system wouldn't let them change the payment details and the only solution they could offer was to cancel and reorder.

On the 11th Nov I placed a reorder for a 16" Max 10/32/64Gb/1TB. The est delivery date was 7th-14th Dec. Apple charged my card (successfully this time) on 3rd December so I was expecting it to turn up inside this window. I've just had an email from Apple pushing my delivery date out to 22nd-29th Dec, with no explanation about why or an apology.
Given xmas and the various bank holidays the only possible days it could be delivered are the 22nd, 23rd, 24th, or 29th.

I'm seriously considering cancelling my order, the customer service from Apple has been horrendous considering the amount that I'm spending with them. I also no longer trust that they'll be helpful or sort any issues with my new laptop out in a timely manner. It's really taken a shine off what should be an exciting purchase :(.

Hoping to see some movement on mine today! Last shipment update was on the 4th so judging from others’ DHL tracking it might touchdown in England this evening. Hope others are also seeing movement :)

Sorry to hear that. That is terrible. I would expect at least an apology for the delay but guess Apple is big enough to not have to worry about the ones and twos. That is an awfully long time to wait. I'm impatient for mine to arrive and I only ordered it on 24th November. Wouldn't blame you if you cancelled out of principal.
