Ooh. That's a very different standing angle isn't it?
From the product page on Apple.com, it looks like the new Smart Folio angle can be adjusted - three sets of magnets I assume?

That sounds like an absolute cluster **** on Apples behalf o_O

Must be one of the most convoluted transactions I’ve ever heard of!

Very fortunate that they didn’t cause you even more aggravation which could have had very serious consequences.

I hope this is an isolated incident and not widespread!

Surely it’s just a hold than a physical charged being taken so your not over a limit unless it clears

like when you used a fuelling station you put £20 in fuel but they normal place a £99 hold

Anyone planning to get Zugu case? They haven't got any info about new case yet so far. I never had one from them but hoping to get one.

Well that’s a bit crap (maybe always been case but new to me)

Can only take out a contract with EE if you already have an existing pay monthly mobile

Just been notified that mine (my wife’s) will be delivered tomorrow morning, forward from the original estimate of the 15th.

ETA: false alarm, it was a completely different item that had the same order number structure.

Pulled the trigger on an 13-inch 1TB model for 15 May delivery. Current 11-inch iPad Pro from 2018 has got a broken display that would cost £500 to replace. Figured that this one should last me until the next big iPad update.
Are you getting Applecare then in case you get another broken discplay/screen?

It's definitely Apple. Same problem, different bank and I'm in PL, not UK.

I put a preorder through their phone helpdesk (where I had to hand them all my card info... in 2024), I was said everything went smoothly and 1 day later when they actually tried to charge me as order was meant to be prepared for shipping - Declined email. Just like you I've been using the card for successful orders in the past. Called them to ask what's the problem and they had no clue actually, I gave them my card info again and it got declined. Apple can't charge, bank says they aren't blocking a thing... but they see declined transaction attempts due to lack of CVV digits.

Trying to pay in the web panel doesn't trigger MasterCard's 3D Secure checkup. That special CC payment authorization website after placing an order doesn't load, it's blank with infinite loading animation - just like for you. When it did after 3-4th attempt and I successfully approve - Apple still declines.

I gave up, cancelled the order, used my iPad to make another order myself on their website and

1) ApplePay attached to the previously used card - DECLINED with "Error" information.
2) CC payment - magically WORKED and order went through without any problems, got charged immediately.
Cheers for the info, I can’t even cancel the order, there’s no option in the store app or on the website, once it’s pending and awaiting payment it’s stuck until they sort it out as far as I can see.

I got onto Apple support chat earlier and they said there is a Apple Pay problem and to just wait and see if it gets sorted, it did eventually last time with the iPhone 15 Pro preorder after a few days but it still sucks not knowing.

If there’s a new limit for Apple Pay in place then it shouldn’t even let it through and get stuck like this, it should just say it’s over the limit and tell you to pick a different payment method.

You’d think so however it triggered an email from my bank saying

“You've exceeded the credit limit on your credit card ending xxxx.

Please ensure you make a payment to bring your balance back within your limit.

Spending over your credit limit can affect your credit score”

On top of that it wouldn’t have surprised me if the bank had then used that to decline the genuine transaction when the times comes.

MKBHD I would guess.
Ordered a Harber sleeve yesterday and that’s arriving tomorrow so need to contain my excitement and not to look at it until Wednesday.

I was surprised to learn I had a debit card charge limit that would be too much for a fixed limit, even though my non-credit cash balance exceeds the charge for the iPad Pro and Magic Keyboard. I called my banks and raised the charge limit on the debit card. I hope Apple has not tried To charge my debit card before I made the change!
