I have mine to pick up from a local pickup point, so I don't need to drudge to the Apple Store. I may visit later in the week to see what the keyboard looks like and whether I should get it .

Mine's "Available for pickup Wed 15 May", and Preparing for Dispatch: We’re completing some final details before we ship your order. As soon as it ships, we’ll email you the delivery information.

Hoping to see reviews later this day.

It be tomoz they start moving to shipment especially Apple
Doesn’t stop me checking back hourly…
I know when it does ship I’ll get an email before I see in the app.
Then it’s on to courier lottery… although as I’m in the office, time of day isn’t a huge consideration - which means it’ll be delivered at 10am.
The hold on my credit card disappeared this morning then the full amount hit my balance this afternoon.

Just the iPad no data ? mines around £92 with data (and 10percent second line discount), order still says awaiting confirmation although spoke to them today and they confirmed release date delivery.

I had booked a £63 tarriff for a 2 year deal £30 upfront I think. I decided to cancel and stick to the wi-fi model but negative is I have had to find the money upfront. For £63 I was getting 1GB data but people said personal hotspots work just as good.

Scott Stein at CNET said pretty much the same thing and agree if I wanted a Mac I’d buy one. The only interesting things from the reviews was the weight of the 13” iPad Pro with the Magic Keyboard is about the same as the 13” MacBook Air.

This review is interesting. He's saying that the difference between the screens on the 2018 and 2024 Pros aren't that noticeable. Which was basically the only big thing that was tempting me to get the Pro over the Air.

I’m probably about 80% commited to getting the Air at this point.

It’s a tablet not a MacBook so don’t get why people dislike the software.

a lot of these limitations are not because it’s a tablet, it’s the inherent ecosystem that’s holding things back.

Whether I want to, for example, code on my iPad or Mac isn’t a necessary factor of the form factor of the device I’m using. File management (Files app mainly) is just painful.

Luckily I’m able to get around coding by hosting a remote server to do the backend tasks whilst presenting me a web view which allows me to write code and preview my changes in real time, but I shouldn’t be having to use another service atop iPad. It’s a truly powerful machine, hampered by its software.

For drawing, it’s great. For note taking, it’s great. Drawing on a Mac? Not so great. Note taking on a Mac, it’s ok.

Brian Tong has weighed the 13” iPad Pro with Magic Keyboard and the combined weight is 1,241g which is pretty much identical to the 13” MacBook Air which Apple list as 1.24kg. There’s some reviews of cases for those who are interested M4 iPad pro

Watched a couple including iJustine (marmite I know) who announced she had the whole line up and every colour but review was just on the pro. I did like the look of the Space Black though. Also seems that most reviews are Pro reviews not Air which seems to basically still be the first look from launch event.

Personally I saw a big enough difference in his video that I’m plenty happy going for the Pro again, and that was watching it on the 2018 Pro.

Well, has anyone seen any good cases for the 11 inch that don’t have some sort of cover for the pencil, does have a shell to protect the corners and some of the edges and has a folding cover stand like Apples that doesn’t take up a load of space behind it? As I’m having a heck of a time finding anything with that combination.

What’s with the super sparse choices this year? Or has it been like this at launch for the last five years since I had my 2018 Pro?

That’s not quite what he said. His conclusion was that the screen was noticeably better but he needed them side by side to really see it.

Does the Logitech Combo not tick these boxes?
