my ee order update just says awaiting confirmation. Doubt that will change as it didn't last year. The guy on the phone yesterday told me it will definitely be friday delivery

Sentimentally posting in this thread when it used to be exciting getting the new iPhone. Glancing down to my payment alert early was just 'meh' Bring back the good old days :/

In Bromley last year I was in and out in 20 mins with IUP
Same with me in Kingston.

Just paid off my XS Max's outstanding balance on iPhone Payments with Barclays. Reasonably smooth over their automated system, keying in account and card numbers.

Should put me back in Barclay's good graces, credit check-wise. My other ace up my sleeve is the Sainsbury's credit card, which is notoriously difficult to be approved for, so should stand for something.
Don’t forget to cancel Applecare + too when the time comes.

Protect seems to be around £8pm. On the 11 at least, AC is £149 or £7.50pm so much the same really..
Apart from the £350 excess you mean...?

Apple order cancelled, Curry’s order is processing! Exciting times! Come on Friday
Make sure you’re happy about Curry’s returns policy before going through with the purchase because unlike Apple they won’t accept a return if you have used the product, unless it’s faulty of course.

I don’t want to discourage you but you need to know where you stand, and to me the no quibble return policy that Apple operates is invaluable.

Kingston was my preference as I guessed it would be quieter, but I'm in Westminster on Friday so Regent Street made sense.
Regardless how busy the store is they never have more than like 2 people doing check-in

any idea's what a xs max 64gb can fetch on ebay / gumtree ?
I have a pending quote for 660 from music magpie, but that expires this Wed. and I don't want to send mine in until I'm up and running on the Pro Max

Best thing to do is a search on eBay and filter it for completed/sold listings. You can see what prices they’ve been fetching.

Remember the eBay listing and sales fees + PayPal fees!

I used the £1 listing promos they run regularly to sell my series 4 watch last week

Thank

thank you for the heads up, I have no reasons to return this so it’s okay

I searched Twitter and found a guy who had asked the same question, EE replied with this:

"Hi Chris, we aim to have all customer pre orders delivered on launch day :) -Rach"

btw carriers have no idea when they will get stock - they just lie and hope they get it on 20th. Only Apple knows and they prioritise the stock for their preorders and IUP first, then premium resellers and then carriers.

EE are in partnership with Apple so I would expect they have more info on what stock they expect to get. Do you actually think that 4 days before release date they have no idea when they will get stock? Unlikely

Correct me if I am wrong but I didnt think there was any way of aplying for finance over the interweb? My understanding of how it works is:

1) you apply
2) they carry out a soft search which indicated likelihood of being accepted along with a limit
3) you go in store to collect and they finalise the application based on a hard search (may be a yes or a no)

I think you should be ok but I got pre-approved not long ago then declined. Typical creation!

Anyway I may be wrong, but hoping you haven't been hasty in cancelling your Apple order.

I was reading on the EE forums that they don’t know the stock yet either as they will receive it on or around Wednesday from Apple

Have my Music Magpie offer since the 11th. So should have until the 25th to get it to them - feels a bit tight to post off on Monday and Friday might be tight to do (weekend not possible, dropping son off at university).

Tell your son to make his own way to university as a life lesson in learning how to be independent. He'll understand that arrangements for new iPhones take precedence and he'll thank you for it later.
