yes there's 2 queues, the dude/dudette at the door will tell you which one to wait in when you arrive.
music magpie's free method is 'fully insured' https://help.musicmagpie.co.uk/supp...654-are-my-items-insured-on-there-way-to-you-Then don’t. The phone is sent back via Special Delivery with appropriate insurance, not the Freepost label they give you. Still, it’s your loss of £200ish by not doing it, up to you.
nah was first come first serve, if they're busy and you arrive early, they might ask you to wait till the start of your slotDo they 'somewhat' arrange you into time-order for the collection queue...?
I have an 8am to 8:30 pickup, I'll try to be in the vicinity from 7:30 but y'know, there might also be some 10am onwards people queuing to try and get in there early...
...now I'm thinking about it, I wonder how many people are allocated the same half hour pick-up slot at a single store? I intend on being in and out, surely that's not half hour dedicated to me!![]()
Just had confirmation of my music magpie payment![]()
so those who want to just give apple the phone back to Apple after the 11th payment and upgrade.. I'll stress again.. don't! for not much hassle than agreeing a music magpie deal, sending my phone to them and a few phone calls to cancel and settle the plan I'm £230 better off.
sold Phone for: £704
settlement figure: - £575.55
Applecare refund: + £101.68
----------
£230.13
if you give your phone back to apple and just take out a new IUP, you'll see none of that.
the AppleCare refund goes back to Barclay first but as I've closed my account now, they'll then refund me the amount.. might take a few days to all go through but that's not an issue.
happy days and roll on Friday!
Dates just slipped for ALL iPhone 11 models. Looks like I made my switch just at the right time! Phew!Friday... it seems the only iPhone 11 model without guaranteed launch delivery is Purple 64GB
How'd did you get it for £704? Max I can get for my iPhone Xs Max 512gb is £700.
By locking in a week before keynote and using a code that worked around then
Excellent congrats! Finally my order (on Barclays loan) got processed and its still a 20th September delivery. So i cancelled my other order where i paid full upfront![]()
I had a quote from Music Magpie of £721 - I checked it was there (it was) next day it had disappeared... I can now only get £642. I wasn't very impressed with nearly £100 difference as I still have some time left on my basket. I have activated my basket today so now I have 14 days to get the phone to them... wasn't going to take the chance of it being removed from my basket again. All being well my old phone will be winging its way to them on Saturday morning.any idea's what a xs max 64gb can fetch on ebay / gumtree ?
I have a pending quote for 660 from music magpie, but that expires this Wed. and I don't want to send mine in until I'm up and running on the Pro Max
If you’re trading in at Carphone Warehouse, make sure you go to Mazuma Mobile and take a screenshot of the price they’re offering. CPW will price match + add an extra £10 if Mazuma is offering a higher price. It also applies to major carriers (so if Vodafone was offering a higher trade in price, CPW will price match + £10).
CPW was offering £520 for my XS 64GB but Mazuma is offering £555, so CPW will give me £565!
Thank you so much! Does this apply to walk in trade ins or do I still have to post it off?
either as far as I know. I’ll be trading in on Friday after picking up my 11 Pro.
Fairly sure that doesn’t apply to the UK, those carriers don’t even exist here. For those with Amazon orders: https://9to5mac.com/2019/09/16/iphone-11-amazon/
Worth checking in advance...
I’ve secured £436 for my 64GB iPhone X at musicmagpie. I didn’t lock in until after keynote. Is anywhere else more competitive?
That’s for the USFor those with Amazon orders: https://9to5mac.com/2019/09/16/iphone-11-amazon/
