Just changed my shipment option from “Next day” to “Standard” and now it says “Delivers Friday 20th”

I should probably just leave it alone now! Fingers crossed

I emailed customer service and they told me I could change my order from One-Day delivery to Release Day Delivery.

A few seconds later another emailed arrived saying: ”We have good news! One of your pre-ordered items is now eligible for release date delivery and has been upgraded at no additional charge.”

Now my order says ”Arriving on 20th Sep”.

Bought the Midnight Green, and love the colour! To be honest I think this is the first year the colour of the phone is actually somewhat visible even when not using a clear case due to the configuration of the lenses compared to previous iPhones.

First time the tracker has updated to be honest as previously it’s stayed at awaiting confirmation even after I had received the DPD delivery details

Fingers crossed

I've had some catching up to do.. haven't had chance since Saturday.. 30+ pages I think it was! :O

Loving all the chat still! Seen a lot of messages about cases.. anyone ordered any today?

I've got about five cases from Apple.. will probably only keep one but they're returns policy is so good that I wanted to test out a few and have them here for Friday!

My pitaka case just arrived. I like the soft grip feel, and use it with the magnetic mount/charger in my car.

For iUP if you want to sell and settle instead, is it better to do that in advance so no messing about instore? And the phone isn’t tagged or anything - you’re free to sell as long as you keep paying Barclays

Trying to catch up on about 20 pages as been researching holiday for March after placing order!

Check what your excess is though!

For everyone looking to order via Amazon, JL or Curry’s and so on remember that they prob won’t have the same returns policy as Apple. You probably cannot return open boxes.

If bought online and delivered it will be subject to long distance selling regulations, so you'll be able to take it out of the box and check it and return if you don't want it, so Amazon will legally have to accept open box returns. Not sure about JL stores bought but any products bought in a Currys store can only be returned if the box has not been opened.

Cancelled my amazon order and re-ordered using the 5 months interest free on amazon, still due for delivery on the 20th

Cape Cod cloths are spot on. You can buy the bigger tub in Lakeland, though the smaller two pack is fine for sporadic use on an iPhone.

They're quite mild, so deeper scratches and dings need more elbow grease to polish and buff out - you're essentially removing the "peaks" to reach the "valleys". A dry microfibre cloth for buffing afterwards and a quick wipe with a mildly soapy cloth is all that's needed to bring that shine back. Some people mask off the glass front and back. I didn't bother with my XS Max, though I may do with the Pro Max as Apple have supposedly added their PVD coating to the back.

Whilst we're talking about polish, I can also heartily recommend Polywatch for Airpod cases. It's designed for polishing out scuffs on plastic watches faces, but did a great job on my scuffed to hell Airpods case.

If you’ve sold privately and not just handing back to apple then you need to settle your own balance with Barclays. apple would only do it if you upgraded with them

I’ve had nothing from EE apart from a order confirmation text with a link to track which says can’t display updates yet.

Could “shipped” status happen at any point or is it always a certain time of day?

iPhone delivered straight to your door? More likely Thursday afternoon, if previous years are to go by as they allocate devices to individuals and book in. At that point you’ll get a notification from the courier and tracking

And yes the phone is yours and your debt is it Barclays not Apple. They’ve have been payed straight away by Barclays.

i bought it direct from apple to my door

Where does yours appear? Wish I had any tracking number
I was sent a text when I ordered over the phone but you can find the tracking if you go into your online EE account and under “your devices” it says “your orders” and then you can click your order
