We need to talk about anything to get the thread as long as possible! What are you having for dinner tonight @BlueHorizonUK? :p

So my EE text order link now also showing delivery of my 11 Pro as 20th September though am minded to cancel that and go for my in store reservation where I'll have a choice of green or white. It was a good deal but I don't really want to up my monthly payments and looks like can now buy outright. If I can cancel will save me returning and I guess bump up delivery for someone else.

Getting really torn with the midnight green and silver now. The MG looks classy whilst the white on the Silver looks more modern and edgy I think. :rolleyes:

Remember that margins on accessories are very high for phone manufacturers and phone retailers.

I get your overall point, but there’s an argument that the materials used may differ between cases and the cost may dictate that and therefore the level of protection provided may differ..or the lifespan of the case ....yes you get a base level of protection, but there are other factors..some of the ‘cheap’ cases don’t look pleasant to me.

My wife constantly buys cheap cases off Amazon and they smash to pieces when she drops the phone... obviously not silicone ones, but you get my point.

Each to their own of course!

Your HDMI point I take issue with... I’ve had no end of problems with cheap HDMI cables that don’t do 4:4:4 properly, but that’s an entirely different thread. :)

If you're an annual upgrader - go for the green. its only for the next 12 months. and you can go white next year for the 12 Pro Max

WiFi Calling on EE isn’t perfect but it gives you another option if you are somewhere with bad signal. I wouldn’t want to be without it.

As a man who goes caseless, the reviews mentioning the pro being more slippy to hold than the XS has me slightly worried :oops:

Well. I just bought an Osmo mobile from very and they used yodel. They also didn’t send my address through properly so it’s been a ball ache to make sure the package exists. They won’t give me information because my name is not connected to the tracking. Although it’s out for delivery today they can’t talk to me about it or I can’t change the in-flight options because in their systems I don’t exist.

I'm upgrading from a iPhone 7 128gb to a iPhone 11 Pro Max 256gb, I went for the silver directly from apple.

For those of you who buy a new phone every year, has apple ever delivered a phone a day early? :)

I got smaller pack on eBay for £5 so not too bad to try out.

Colour wise I used to be an annual upgrader but last 2 iPhones I kept for 2 years. That said I'll probably upgrade next year if its a nice redesign or has camera improvements. Midnight Green will feel more like a change from current Silver X but I'll prob just go with what looks best (to me) in store on Friday.

I hate these Data Protection laws in this respect although am not sure I should be talking to you if you don't exist!

If it's any consolation when it does eventually arrive it is excellent, ordered one from Very myself last week.

I am sorely tempted by the Apple leather cases but I know I have bought more than once and regretted as they very quickly got dirty and scratched!
 
When I placed my order for an iPhone 11 Pro Max space grey 256GB on Friday the shipping estimate was 30 Sept - 7 October.

I’ve just logged on to gaze at my status page even though I knew it wouldn’t say anything different this early... to discover that my estimated shipping has slipped to 16-22 October.

I’ve had my iPhone 6s Plus for 4 years so a few more weeks won’t make a massive difference in the great scheme of things but I was still more than a little disappointed to see that update ☹️

I’ll be worried to log on to the status page again...!
