Hi,

I'm upgrading from a iPhone 7 128gb to a iPhone 11 Pro Max 256gb, I went for the silver directly from apple.

For those of you who buy a new phone every year, has apple ever delivered a phone a day early? :)

No! 99.99% it won't happen

Troubleonlie said we need to talk about anything to keep this thread going, so I hope someone can help me.

Whatsapp won’t back up “Pic Below” I have 17 GB of iCloud storage available, iCloud Drive is on, I’ve reset network settings, I’ve done a hard reset and connected to various people’s Wi-fi and still not backing up. Any ideas please

If it's any consolation when it does eventually arrive it is excellent, ordered one from Very myself last week.

Ahah. I have several gimbals of various designs and specs. If it can handle the new phones without the super wide lens getting picked up by the gimbal the. It could be very interesting. I have a Movi and it’s great but needs weights etc to keep it balanced so this may just be the perfect thing.

I splashed out and got the official clear case

I did umm and arrr about it for a day

But I’m the end ordered it

I watched some reviews on the clear case from last year they said it doesn’t yellow like cheaper clear cases and it’s more scratch resistant

Since the iPhone 6 Plus I’ve primarily used the official silicone case which has done me very well

I’m not the type of person who usually buys loads of cases, over the 2 years of my X I had two cases

Ideally would love to run it bare but we all know that’s just asking for trouble

Hmmm. Both the Engadget and Verge reviews both mention how buggy iOS 13 is. Think I'll hold off installing it on my wife's XR until I've had a thorough playthrough of it myself. Might even be worth waiting until iOS 13.1 for older hardware...

Anyone else waiting for John Lewis? Hoping they'll offer launch-day delivery to store as in previous years.

I would order from Carphone Warehouse (they're offering £50 cashback on pre-orders) but typically the only model out of every new iPhone not available for launch day delivery is the one I want (Pro 64gb silver)

think I'm buying an XR at lunch.

Partly to try out some of the clear cases I have to see if I like them for the 11
partly to try the increased size that its comfortable enough to hold/carry in my front pocket
partly to see how I get on with the larger bezels and lower res

partly so I can send my X off to Music Magpie tomorrow :)

hmm. Iphone 11 + airpods + 50GB for £46pm 24months or £40pm 36 months isn't bad at all.. Probably can't use them as I rely a lot on VF wifi calling so would be limited to VF/EE I think? Mobile signal indoors at home is terrible across all networks

Off the top of my head the ‘best’ networks for WiFi Calling are EE and Three as they both support calls and SMS over WiFi.

iD Mobile (Carphone’s MVNO in Three) also support it.

My work SIM is with Tesco Mobile as I get staff discount so do miss WiFi/4G Calling as they don’t currently support it.

Looking forward to seeing people’s real world impressions when you get them; am staying with my XR for another year as it’s more than fine for what I use.

I’m trying the 13.1 Beta on my XR and on the whole it isn’t too bad but there are a few quirks that I’ve reported back to Apple.

One of them was present in a previous build of iOS 12 but an update fixed it; seems to have reared its ugly head again.

I just popped into my local EE store to pay an early upgrade fee and ordered the 11 Pro Max in 256gb Midnight Green, he was confident I'd get it on Friday or Saturday delivered into the store. I'd like to believe him but past experiences have never turned out to be true...., Order tracking all works, says awaiting confirmation

I’ve just logged on to gaze at my status page even though I knew it wouldn’t say anything different this early... to discover that my estimated shipping has slipped
Who have you ordered from? It’s exceedingly rare for any Apple delivery date to slip, they are very conservative in this regard.

2 days. It generates a Royal Mail 48 label

posted 4.50pm weds, tracking showed it arrive to them Friday 3pm, got an email confirming it arrived Saturday afternoon, paid in full around 11am today

Ok - thank you both. Might be cutting it fine for deadline if it takes 2 days so might contact them and see if they mind me sending myself Special Delivery. Worth a few £ to be sure.

Got to admit, i've had the Osmo mobile 3 for a week or so and it's great, it's the main reason I got the pro so I could take advantage of the new cameras, it'll be the awesome combination when I go to Disney in November for Galaxy's edge!!

I got two cases ready for my iPhone 11 MAX, however, I don't think they are good enough. Just ordered a normal case with a fibre material inside of it, but I am struggling to find a folio case with a fibre material inside of it, anyone got any recommendations?

Got the Osmo 2. The app bundled for use with it wasn’t horrible but not great. I think filmic pro does a better job. Also given some of the features shown during the keynote make it even more appealing

13.1 is fine for me. Use my phone for business and no issues on calls or apps at all.
