I got the clear case and echo everyone comments about it being slippy but it seems to be getting more grippy after using it all afternoon.

Think I am going to keep it although I have my other case known as AppleCare.....lol

Looks like Apple Clear Case
Looks like there is no opening at the bottom though?

Did you get phone and watch mate?

Huge mess up with watch. Ordered ft very and wasn’t til yesterday where they said no watch TIL 25th October so I cancelled and ordered from apple so will arrive 25-27 sep

Hate not having a watch

I have both an Xs and an XR and struggle to see any real differences either.

Calculator, new faces, noise meter are three I’ve noticed.

....oh come on - you can’t REALLY be comparing the XS vs the XR and NOT see any differences?! o_O The XS is MILES better.......Just look at the 2 screens side by side for starters....

Went to Stratford this afternoon on a whim with no reservation.

They seemed to have plenty of stock, so started the iUP upgrade process from my XS to a 11 Pro MG, but was rejected by Barclays. I recently moved, and updated my address everywhere accept with them. Gave them a call and was told that is why it failed. I have great credit otherwise, so pretty disapointed.

I've confirmed that my address with Barclays and Experian are both correct, so now plan on heading in when the store opens tomorrow to try again.

I’m in the exact same boat (moved recently but not updated my address) but the nearest Apple store is 2 1/2 hours away. Could you possibly post or send me a message to let me know if it worked ok after updating with Barclays? Really don’t want to have a 5 hour round trip for nothing 😞

Anyone post a pic of the 11 Pro Max Midnight Green in the clear case please.

Not for long - sounds like most people are returning them! I've never sent anything back to Apple (and it's a long list of orders ...) but the Clear Case is lethally shiny & slippy. Because it's not 'jelly like' there's no stickiness to it & it wants to jump out of your hand, or off a leg if you've set it down for a second.

UPS are coming for mine on Monday, painless Returns Request process.

Have ordered a cheapo Spigen from Amazon for now & the new shape Rhino Shield cases are coming out in a couple of weeks:

Nope I cant see anything, had the X and 11 side by side earlier even played the same movie and saw nothing whatsoever, my biggest concern was losing OLED and I can not even tell

I’ve had issues with Barclays yet again this year.

They rejected my upgrade request saying I can not afford it. I have excellent credit history etc. Poor bloke at Barclays got an earful off me.

He didn’t know how to explain why I cannot afford £4 extra per month vs last years iUP, which I will still have to pay for another year 🤪 Or the fact why I can afford to buy it outright (which I did in the end again this year)

Getting a call back off a manager tomorrow. Suspect it will be same as two years ago. Have to get Apple to faff about refunding me and trying the application again. PITA. Wish they didn’t use Barclays.

I’m coming from an XS Max and feeling incredibly underwhelmed. I’m not sure what I was expecting, but I’m feeling a bit meh. I’m sure those upgrading from earlier models will have a better experience naturally.

I was already using a USB C PD charger with my XS Max so for me I don’t feel the “value add” with the inclusion of a faster charger.

I also upgraded from an iPad Pro 9.7 to the 3rd Gen 12.9 Pro and that’s been an amazing upgrade experience! Although now I have to carry two different cables.

I got the Apple clear case and it’s awful. It’s quite slippery and I’m noticing a rainbow-halo where the case makes contact near the cameras. Just gutted Elago won’t be releasing their thin case for the 11.

iOS 13 is horrible. I installed it on the XS Max yesterday and had a shocking experience - stock mail app not loading or freezing, notifications not appearing, background updates not working (e.g. Telegram, WhatsApp, Gmail only updating when I open). I thought it was indexing etc. but a day later and it’s still horrible. I’m experiencing similar on the 11 Pro Max.

A general annoyance is the restore process - how some apps retain all login details (Monzo) but others you must start afresh. I have quite a few cards on Apple Pay and it’s a shame these can’t be restored with successful Keychain validation or something. I now have to call Lloyds, Halifax, Bank of Scotland and Nationwide - because for some reason these didn’t present the SMS verification.

I was considering returning, but we have a BYOD policy at work and I’ve been using my own devices for several years and they’ve been offering to buy me one, so I’ll get them to reimburse me and keep it. I might get the Pixel 4XL as a personal phone instead.

On an unrelated note, Vodafone have pleasantly surprised me with their Apple Watch data plan. I remember setting up data on my Apple Watch with EE and it was a nightmare and took several days to sort. Vodafone was all sorted through the Apple Watch app within 5 minutes. Plus, 6 month’s free on a rolling deal.

So are mine, lots of the “normal” awards are missing plus some special ones (a special Yoga one for sure I remember). Anyone know how to fix this please?
I'd give it overnight at least before worrying, I set mine up as new and it's still restoring all the activity data from iCloud: I have my awards but all my workouts are missing currently, I'm sure by tomorrow they'll appear.

Hoping someone can help. Got my green iPhone 11 this morning and did a restore from my old iPhone. Everything went well and it looked like it had finished downloading all my apps too until I discovered that nearly 20 apps have a little cloud symbol by the app name. When you press on the app it says “Unable to install (app name). This app could not be installed”.

These are standard apps such as Tripadvisor, Skype, Facebook etc so it can’t be the case that the apps are not compatible with iOS 13. I have tried re-starting the phone, signing out/in of the AppStore, and checking the “offloaded” apps in Settings but nothing seems to work.

Anyone else experiencing the same or know how to solve this please?

Mine did exactly the same...
Restarted a couple of times, no change whatsoever, so ended up having to individually re-download all the apps with the cloud symbol from the AppStore. Took me a good 10-15 mins, but all sorted now!

Coming from an iPhone X, I’m pleased with my 11 Pro.
I was generally happy with the camera on the X, but night mode and ultra wide lens are awesome!!
Never felt like the X was slow, but opening apps is noticeably quicker on the Pro.
Surely not a groundbreaking upgrade like the one from 7 to X, but definitely happy I took the plunge this year.
The plan is to skip next year, and get the 2021 model.
I will still follow next year’s thread (Jinjin will surely sort it out), don’t even bother looking at US threads anymore, and it’s great to see the UK still has such a strong Apple fan base.
Enjoy your new toys everyone!!

Picked up my 11 Pro Max after work from CPW, liking the Midnight Green but haven't seen it in direct sunlight yet so will be interested to see that. Haven't had much of a play but the night mode and watching the car race scene of Ready Player One have both really impressed me. The night shots look great and the HDR and spatial sound on the film were both awesome.

I'm looking forward to putting it through it's paces properly.
