Contemplating an upgrade from the X to the 11 Pro on IUP or iPhone Payments. Shouldn't really but loving the camera improvements and the green! The green is not enough to make me upgrade though!!

Never gone more than 2 years but really wish I hadn't got the series 3 SS celluar watch and X at the same time as it was pretty hefty outlay. Kinda wish I hadn't bothered with the watch all - I got it when I thought I wouldn't get the X then succumbed to that a few weeks later! Other mistake was sticking both on a 0% credit card as have used for couple of other purchases since so in a strange way it feels like I still have a lot of the watch and X to pay for!

Can trade in my X 256gb for £435 (envirofone). Not surprisingly watch will fetch hee-haw on Apple trade in £60!!

Bit of internal debating between now and Friday!! Have steered off buying on contract for a while but might consider now that yearly upgrading may now be a thing of the distant past for me.

Then if i do decide to get do i got 64 or 256. Always gone high but only using 60 on my X currently.

I’m sure next years one I will have to sell a kidney or something to get it XD
I mean for some reason I swear I paid the same price for my X at the time anyway? So I’m not sure about these so called price increases I thought it was standard now
[doublepost=1568153164][/doublepost]With the matte back finishes I guess they’re trying to get people to use them caseless again but none the less first thing I will do as always. Stick a screen protector in and stick it in a case XD

They’re just not big enough improvements to justify an annual change anymore - if you already have an XS (or an X really) then it’s all very incremental if we’re honest.

- 7 to X was a big deal for FaceID
- 5S to a 6 Plus for a big screen was worth it

I’ve changed jobs & am spending a lot more time on it reading & typing, so a bigger screen would be good, and the camera on my X has been a real let-down, but it’s all fanboy excuses to justify spending £1,300 really - such a lot of money ...

So what’s everybody thinking on availability of each device come launch day? Do you think some will have their delivery dates pushed back a few weeks minutes after pre orders go live?

I have a feeling the green pro max 64gb will be the first to slip a few weeks but think all other models and colours (both 11, 11pro and 11 pro max) should be fine for at least a few hours after orders go up, and then we’ll see dates getting pushed back.

Really torn on whether to bite the bullet and upgrade! The only other benefit of upgrading is that I’ll also get the XS features that I don’t have on my X (although to be honest I’m sure that’s also just a camera upgrade aswell)

I’m just flicking between 11 and 11 pro. Can someone confirm are the black bezels around the screen thicker on the 11 than the pro just like the XR to XS

not necessarily, the phone value would have dropped again by another phone cycle - and I’d have paid the remaining £550 for it

I can’t see why not.
your working it your £130 + £80 in profit by upgrading

next year your gonna be saving 4 x £68 £272 4 months of non payments
value of phone no doubt will be over £500

no brainer for me to not to upgrade for basically a camera upgrade

I’m so torn but I’m gravitating towards the 11.

A lot of it comes down to the fact I’m currently paying £69 a month for my iPhone XS Max 256gb through the iUP. I feel at the moment I’m barely using the phone to what it’s capable of. I don’t play graphic intensive games nor do any video editing or photo editing. I feel the 11 would allow me to reduce my monthly cost drastically with a phone that’s more suited to my needs. Currently, I feel like I’m throwing money out the window.

Financially, does this make sense? Will I lose out anywhere by selling my max, paying off iUP and then entering a new agreement on the 11?

I think the iPhone 11 dates may slip..

I’m interested the tariffs on EE for the pro max. I’m sure won’t be much different given it’s only a 50 pound increase.

Anyone know if there really is a limit on how many phones can order from Apple in one transaction? I know historically has been mention of max 2, but I can’t see that made official anywhere..... and even if is the case, is that limit per model or overall? I want to order 2 Pro Max (for me and wife) and an 11 for my daughter. Would rather not have to do 2 orders on different Apple ID!

Thanks

You could order 2 online and just do a walk-in purchase for the 3rd. I really doubt that there’ll be any shortage of stock.

I very much doubt it. Perhaps the Midnight Green though which seems to be wowing people.
Agreed with the green. As nice as it is I love the silver of my X yet I’ve had a case on since the day I bought it and have probably seen it about 10 times without the case when giving it a clean.
So really it a case of choosing what colour stainless band you want around the edge of your phone, another reason I chose Silver as I think it looks much nicer than the SS black edge.

Speaking of, what colour is the edge on the green?

I have noticed how the trade in prices have fallen. I am not upgrading this year, just went on Apples site to see how much I could get for my XS max. I bought it last March and part chopped my X for it. I got £500 for the X. On a 11 pro they just offered me £390 for my XS max.
