this years upgrade is very camera orientated as are all the hands on reviews that i've seen of the new phones.
One reviewer actually said it was an instagram machine i just hope that isn't what apple are going to concentrate on each year from now on

its the one areas where they can really 'innovate'. otherwise most phones all look alike now. the idea they'll go back to touchID next year alongside faceID feels like a backward step

I’m on the iUP so makes sense to upgrade. I love the mint green 11 but my work phone is a 6 and I really struggle with the size from an XS Max so will be swapping to the Pro Max I guess. Currently using about 50gb of memory but not sure I’m brave enough to downgrade to the 64gb, even if the majority appears to be 20k photos. Not sure about the green so it’ll be good to gold for me.

I’ll be having mine in a case so not too worried about the scratching. Even with that point the colour choice is probably even less important as you’d only ever know from the bottom part of the phone (when incase) what colour it is.
If I went for the midnight green I’ll prob go for the clear case too
....well, I can safely say I've made the right decision to NOT upgrade this year.
Hate ALL the iPhone 11 colours and other than the camera, not much difference vs the XS.
The 'Pro' iPhones look nice though but again - don't see much benefit in jumping from the XS to the Pro non Max version.....
Quick question on the XR prices - have these been reduced since last night's Keynote as can't recall the previous price (think they have dropped by £100)?

It's good to be back! Every year I tell myself I won't upgrade and every year I end up upgrading so this year I've accepted my fate early on!
I think I'm leaning more towards the green but I don't know if that's because of it being the new colour. I always go case-less so the colour choice has to be spot on for me.
Are you still deciding on colours @Jinjin ?

Although this is true, I’m really struggling with the ugliness of the camera lens arrangement. Very ugly, very unApple in my humble opinion.

Same here. I don’t actually use the telephoto lens all that much to be honest, ultra wide I’m really interested in. If I sell my Xs Max I can get an 11 for £100 more. 11 Pro Max is £550 extra !!

We’re in that annoying period where the carriers aren’t putting out their prices yet, but wanting us all to sign up to their sites so they can spam us.
I won’t be doing the IUP, it’s just too expensive, really needs an option without Apple Care (is that just iPhone Payments Plan?)

looks like the US Apple Retail stores have dropped the XS price by $100!

Yes, you can just to iPhone Payment Plans.. same payment terms, £69 up front and then 20 payments.
