I’m with you guys on this one. The Apple logo has been moved to the centre and it seems clear it’s because the feature was there and then pulled last minute. They will have already manufactured loads of phones with the hardware in them, can’t just take it out if it doesn’t work unless they realised many months ago. AirPower means they will keep quiet until (if) they can fix it in my opinion.

The Apple logo was moved down due to the larger camera module taking up more space. It would have looked awkward to keep the logo in its familiar position so close to the camera.

Has anybody had any communication from EE? I've never upgraded on preorder day with them before, is it just a case of logging in and going through the usual steps to upgrade or is there a special link we should be using?

Thanks :)

Long story but I am due a call today at around 1pm to process my upgrade - no special link however people have said that in previous years online orders go into a queue to be processed, this takes quite some time. In that time all the phone orders are processed at the time of call, thus, in theory, jumping the queue. Might not be the same this year though

It’s 0% interest so the cost is identical to buying outright.

The expectation is you need to reserve for IPhone upgrade program and then on the day say you want to use the payment program instead.
do they charge admin £30 ? 20x 54 £1080 initial payment as well ignore me

Anyone find any deals on a sim-free unlocked 11 Pro (Max) yet from another retailer? JL, Curry's etc?

I recall last year, Amazon were pretty fast to sell the xs and xs max and were offering it for about 10-15% less than the retail price (directly sold by Amazon, not a third-party seller). I think its part of a wider sales tie-up with apple and amazon.

At the moment they are selling the Airpods 2 with wireless charging case for 15% less than the Apple price (£169) !!- https://amzn.to/2LwFzcQ

Sparkly. :) If anyone else is looking for a cheap (and, IMHO, reasonably good) case option Amazon have the clear Spigen Ultra Hybrid for £4.99 at the moment. Pretty similar to the Apple clear case but just over 1/10th the price.

I've pre-ordered on EE live chat - managed to get a iPhone 11 Pro Max in green, I won't receive any formal communication until 1pm though. Was a pretty seamless experience.

what worries me about doing something like that is you are relying on them processing it at 1pm not getting bogged down with the chaos and doing it later on when they remember.

i don’t think I could trust in them to do that ha ha!

What was the deal you got if you don't mind me asking?

I'm on an Upgrade Anytime plan already so it's not a straight forward deal. I had to pay £200 as I'm only three months into my contract (signed up with an XR in June), + £100 for the device. £84.00 (!) a month for 10GB data, unlimited calls & texts, it's steep but I have an addiction to Apple.
