Wheres everyone planning to purchase theirs from?

I'm leaning towards Very as they will most certainly offering a 10% off first credit order. Considering they're already expensive, 10% off would be nice.

Used them in the past 3 years ago but my accounts closed, so hopefully If I create a new one I'll be eligible.

I didn’t know Very offered 10% off first orders.

By ordering from here, you could treat it the same as the upgrade programme. Order with discount, pay off X amount monthly, and then clear the balance when you sell the phone and upgrade next year.

Could somebody let me know how easy Music Magpie is to use? Never used anything like it before so I’m hesitant to just stick my phone essentially in a box and send it off in the post.

I know my phone is in pretty much perfect condition but what’s the odds of them getting it and then saying ‘oh there’s a tiny scratch’ and me not getting the full amount they offered on the site?

Also do I get 14 days to send my phone to them from the day I lock I complete the order on the website?

Any help is appreciated :)

They’ve been pretty good and have used them before. I’ve not personally had any issues with them not meeting the price promised.

I always make sure the phones sent with the correct tracking and insurance etc

Nice work! I’ll add to FAQs.

Can’t remember how long the honour the price for? 14 days? Locking in now would take us short of that but I know they have history of extending the deadline once you get close to it
Yes, 14 days with no extension for Music Magpie. Still a little early. However prices were reduced this morning with the last adjustment last Thursday. Hopefully in a position to re-quote before the event Mon/Tues at the same price point

I used music magpie last year to sell my iPhone 8. They paid up the full amount and quickly. The phone had a few small screen scratches and they didn't question it. I'm planning to use them again this year to sell my Apple watch 2 in favour of a series 5 (if it gets released) as well as a new iPhone if the price is right.

I have used Music Magpie many times and touch wood never had an issue.

Am wondering though.......... when doing an 'order' there is the option to save or complete. Saved orders remain for 14 days, with option to add to basket. Is the best thing therefore to save an order now, and then to add to basket in 13 days time - at which point would have until 1st October for device to be received (but still retaining the higher value in case price drops in meantime)? Am I missing something?

Also - only advice i would give when using MM is that they prefer you to use their own delivery service/label (which is free and insured) - but which you need to allow 3-5 days for receipt post sending..... and that needs to be included in the 14 days from order date :)

That'd be great if you could do it that way. I'd be interested to hear if it's possible.

Well that was short-lived
have re-updated the faqs removing it

I'm going to hold on till next week and see if anything comes up. £704 for my phone will mean now that i've made the 11th payment, I'd be £218 (counting the apple care refund) better off rather than handing it back to Apple for a standard IUP upgrade.

again, I know it can be frowned upon but I might pick up a Xr or even a 7/7 from apple and return within 2 weeks  will tide me over as I don't have a spare phone

So further to my earlier post, having seen the code is now longer valid - I re-added the saved order to my basket, and it DID allow me to save again, maintaining use of the 10% code. Hopefully a good sign!

I think I'll be getting a new iPhone this year. Have an iPhone X at the minute which is still a great phone. Currently using a Samsung S10 though and the more I use it the more I realise I do miss my iPhone.

Not sure whether to go with the Upgrade Program this time, and give my X to my mum.

Looks like the Music Magpie "ADD10" code has expired. Doh
Oh damn.

Do you know if it then starts the 14 day countdown again?

If you usually buy outright and would take apple care then it’s a no brainier to me.

Even better if you’re and annual upgrader and you take a little effort to sell privately and pay off IUP and you’ll be quids in.

If you don’t care about apple care then the iPhone payments plan is similar minus the apple care.

Glad to see this post back again for another year.
Not long to go until the keynote and I am looking forward to hearing what you all think of the new products.

I can’t wait and hopefully will be purchasing a new phone and watch.

Getting closer now... 6 days until the event.

I am VERY excited.

Given the condition of my iPhone XS, I think I'll sell mine privately again as that should net me a little more compared to MM.

Olixar looks to have leaked two of the new iPhone colours...

If true, it looks like:

  • The camera bump will be integrated far more elegantly than the huge black squares some of the mock-ups have suggested.
  • The XR sucessor will indeed have two lenses.

The green looks awesome!

I skipped last years, with my X, so I’m very excited this time round! I’m still saying to myself that I’ll decide after the keynote but we all know how that goes...

Weirdly, I’m most excited for a “max” upgrade, I miss having a larger phone.

Love the green!

I’m leaning towards however that these are just mock ups and not actual leaks. Numerous rumours have pointed to Apple losing the “iPhone” branding and moving the Apple logo further to the centre of the device.
