Agree with the opening at the bottom... I was comparing the ESR to Apples case which is the same but half the price of the Apple case.

I always go naked too, hate a case and I’m yet to smash one. Since the X I’ve had phone insurance from my bank in case I do and much better value than AppleCare. I upgrade every year so keeping it pristine doesn’t matter, it’s nice to just enjoy it.
I keep going back and forward. I also have the Xs Max and it does everything you could wish for. Makes no sense to upgrade. I have a gold reserved but still 50/50 if I pick it up or not.
Getting rid of the Xs Max. Perfect condition, 12 months AppleCare plus still to go..... plus I’ve got loads of cases. I know the most sensible thing would be to stick and wait till next year.
Not really a valid answer imo, I have a son as well, you just have to look after it that’s all. But I do understand what you saying...
As for the case enhancing the look? LOL that’s something a person would say to justify putting a case on their phone.
Naked phone looks 10 times better than with any case out there.
so confusing - lots of different places to get to seemingly the same place, but all called different things.
I have two reservations which I guess are just both for pickup, but I did one through the app, and one through the website. Both have sent completely different emails to me. The App has an order number, says it is 'processing', and has a receipt email that shows my debit card number (last 4 digits) and price as though its charging me although I did collection. The website order is just a 'you're all set' and a QR code along with my appointment time.
I daren't cancel one of those in case the other one is somehow messed up. Are they the same thing?

I thought like this all the way up to the point where the camera started protruding out the back rather than being flush. I was too worried about it being damaged. I’d love to go back to using it naked.
How has doing so been? I out mine down on ‘surfaces’ a lot (the floor next to me in the gym during sets, my desk at work etc), do you and if so has it scratched it much?
Well, I have been using my iPhone X for nearly 2 years now(got it from launch day) and there is no problem what so ever with the camera bump, I don’t see any visible scratches... the back glass has scratches, but nothing major. I leave it just like you on the table, kitchen table etc. No problems.
Have you used them before / are they reliable? Apple's offer for my 256GB iphone 7 was only 100 quid whereas MM were offering £166,

The ‘Join Now’ button was there last year as well, and the year before that as that’s how I initially joined the program with my 8 Plus.

The main problem with going naked is that iPhones now don’t sit flat on a table obviously due to the camera bump (a poor design IMHO) so that area is more prone to being damaged. Also, the only way to alleviate this is to lay your phone flat on its screen but, hey, who even does that?!
If it shows your debit card number, it means you’ll be charged full price for the handset - probably once it has been dispatched. I’m pretty sure you can’t select a handset to reserve for pickup without choosing the IUP option.
Sounds like you’ve chosen the ‘Pay with alternate method ‘ option (next to the ‘Pay with ApplePay’ button) in the app and then chosen to pick up in store so the app will probably charge you on dispatch. Probably....
I just phoned EE, they seem a bit clueless because she said it won’t be dispatched until the 20th and I told her that can’t be right as it’s released on the 20th so she went to check with her manager and said it will be delivered on the 20th and guaranteed it, so at least I have a recorded phone call that guarantees 20th delivery. I didn’t get £100 like the last poster though

It does amaze me that at the 13th year of iPhone launches the phone networks still cannot get their act together.
(And I also don't understand why more don't take up Apple's various 0% credit offers (including the upgrade programme), and go SIM only, and avoid all the grief.)

Valid enough for me when my daughter dropped my Xs on concretesmashing what I though was the screen. Luckily it was just the screen protector and the case that took the brunt, phone was perfect
....you know what, I’m DONE!
I’m not prepared to swap my XS for the far inferior iPhone 11 (build-wise, material wise, spec wise AND screen wise) and upgrading to the 11 Pro just adds an additional £4 a month to my monthly payments on IUP - something else I’m not prepared to do..... Additionally, switching to iPhone Payments will make it that little bit more difficult for me to upgrade this time next year (not sure I’d be willing to sell privately as don’t actually have a spare phone I could use in the interim).
I’m sticking to my initial plan and holding off this year - just cancelled my iPhone 11 reservation.
And, NO, I’m not changing my mind!!
I AM. DONE for this year!
