Anyone order from Argos? If so when do you expect the delivery? Got my order confirmation around 13:10. Blue 64GB. Order status page says Sit tight - we're processing your order. Email says - ‘We'll get your items on their way to arrive on from 23rd October 2020
It will stay like that until either 2 days before release day, or the day before release day.
I don’t think Argos out sells their own supply. The only ones to do that are Apple and the Networks.

Apple order still preparing for dispatch....all good!

amazon order is showing valid!

EE Customer Check your order has gone through
Ee has system failures yesterday

my friends order is not on the system and replaced this morning

Has anyone else ordered the leather MagSafe wallet?

I ordered a saddle brown one but my order on the apple website / app now says I have ordered a black one.

I’ve been back onto my email confirmation and it definitely says saddle brown.

I think that I’ll wait it out and see which colour turns up rather than cancel and reordering. There’s been tons of issues with the website / app, so I’m hoping it’s a problem with the system itself and not just my own order. I was just wondering if anyone else had the same issue?

Why do I keep checking my order expecting there to be any change from “Processing”?? The next stage is “Ready to Pickup” so I know for certain there will be no movement for a week yet here I am refreshing the order page. 😫😂
I keep checking they have took payment or do they do it in store on collection

Does anyone have any experience with cancelling online Apple orders and having the authorised amount returned to their available balance in their bank accounts?

I placed a pre-order for a friend. An hour later, they changed their mind. I spoke to a specialist on Apple's Live Chat who eventually put in a request to cancel the order. The specialist said I would not be billed/charged. It had not gone to 'Processing' yet. I checked my bank account and the deduction from my available balance had been made.

I then received an email a few hours later stating my order had been cancelled and that 'You will not be charged for this order'. I've been checking my account all evening and my available balance is still showing the amount deducted.

I need this money back urgently.

I tried finding an answer via google, the only thing I found was something from 2017 which stated it could take up to TEN DAYS for the authorisation on my debit card to expire.

That's absolutely ridiculous, and regardless of what the actual definition is, certainly feels like I've been 'charged' for the amount even if it's coming back to me in ten days. Live chat currently offline and phone lines don't open until 9am tomorrow.

Anyway, I hope it's not true and the amount is back in my account later today.

Does anyone have any experience of similar?
Has happened to me before and yes it can take up to 10 days to release the hold. Normally it should release quickly but with so many orders going through it can take a little time. May be worth a call to your bank. As far as I know it’s a payment system mechanism and not something that Apple can actually release manually but I could be wrong.

All good here too, checked Amazon and no cancelled orders yet.

I can see Apple as a pending transaction on my credit card. Should I let my credit card company know there will be another big payment potentially going out from Amazon? I don’t want Amazon to honour the purchase and then have the order cancelled as my credit card company wouldn’t authorise it.

I ordered the black wallet and it is confirmed on the email, however the order page now shows saddle brown. I’m sure it will change back to what it is supposed to be.

I finally got into the app about 1:05 and order confirmed no more than 30 seconds after that.

Delivery only 28/10 :( Not sure what else I could have done to hit the 23/10. It is not the longest wait though.

It's a madness that befalls hundreds of us. Quite normal though for an iPhone obsessive, but also completely pointless. Your iPhone will be with you when Apple promised so if you were lucky enough to secure a launch day delivery or collection you have more chance of being struck by lightning than seeing it before then. 😂

Relax.... 😉

So mad to think... I was confirmed at 1:03 and luckily managed to get 23rd delivery. So crazy that a few mins make all the difference

Same, I got my confirmation at 1:03 for 23rd. Looks like 2 mins later was the cut off point :O

General question since I've never pre-ordered an iPhone before: How accurate are the home delivery dates provided by Apple during ordering? Do they ever deliver earlier than stated?

Are you still processing like me? 👀

Not that I know of

In-store collection is an option, try checking to see if any are available for local collection, or travel a small distance IF you really want/need it on launch day.

Well after giving it a lot of thought, I did what I usually do after I've decided not to upgrade and I have upgraded to a 12 pro. The 128gb swung me as my phone is pretty full, it's not that much of an upgrade apart from that for me, I do live near a 5G mast so will be interesting to see if I can connect to it.

Initially I went the Apple route with trade in, but they were giving me 9th Nov delivery. So after some kind soul posted the MusicMagpie code here I am now getting £555 for my iPhone and just under 12 months AppleCare refunded.

Phoned EE an hour ago and they have the pacific blue available for release day, I have a 20% perk which was accepted, and they allowed me to leave my small data contract free and get a large 100GB 5G contract instead.

I use e-sim so I know I'm in for a headache on Friday, so I am holding on to my current phone until then in case there's an issue.

Does anyone know how long MMagpie give you to send the phone in once you've completed the sale?

I wish mine was!

I made a mistake and got the wrong delivery address.

I couldn't edit the order all day... waiting for it to go into 'processing'.

I kept checking... when 'processing' you can edit the delivery address. In the past... it sits in processing for days before despatch.

However.. its jumped straight to 'preparing for despatch'. This is actually quite annoying!... of course its not preparing for despatch just yet as its not being sent for another few days at least - thats how its been every other time.

So now Ive missed that tiny window to make changes...

Ill have to call apple tomorrow and see what they can do.
There was a thread where something like this happened.

apple put a return to sender on the time but the guy had to put in a fresh order
