....anyone who has an in store collection for this Friday - is it possible to change this for a home delivery instead (even if the ship date is much later than Friday 23rd Oct)?
I looked to see if I could change my collection slot and there was no option to do so, so I’d assume not.

Well after giving it a lot of thought, I did what I usually do after I've decided not to upgrade and I have upgraded to a 12 pro. The 128gb swung me as my phone is pretty full, it's not that much of an upgrade apart from that for me, I do live near a 5G mast so will be interesting to see if I can connect to it.

Initially I went the Apple route with trade in, but they were giving me 9th Nov delivery. So after some kind soul posted the MusicMagpie code here I am now getting £555 for my iPhone and just under 12 months AppleCare refunded.

Phoned EE an hour ago and they have the pacific blue available for release day, I have a 20% perk which was accepted, and they allowed me to leave my small data contract free and get a large 100GB 5G contract instead.

I use e-sim so I know I'm in for a headache on Friday, so I am holding on to my current phone until then in case there's an issue.

Does anyone know how long MMagpie give you to send the phone in once you've completed the sale?
Their usual terms are 14 days but apparently there was a promo on recently where they were doing 21 days so I guess it depends on whether you ordered during that. When they send you a reminder email, that’ll tell you (I received one for my mbp sale order the other day and it says 14 days in there).

Can chargeback not be used? I tend to agree with some others here and I’m not usually one to blindly defend Apple. Preorder day is the busiest day that company experiences and people ordering on a snap decision and then wanting their money back instantly causes a headache in the system. There will be a process and I’m sure it’ll be less than 30 days but can’t be expected within a hour of the request. People need to be more decisive I think and respect that this sort of purchase is a significant investment. I hope you get the money back soon but that’s life I think.
Apple do not have the money, so you can't do a chargeback, it's a pending auth, just held by the bank before Apple take it. In this case they won't, the pending transaction will drop off and the hold cancelled.

Received a confirmation order but no notifications on Monzo regarding payment taken. The other two items I bought however have had payment taken.
out of contract?

yes I saw this but see different info for UK

  1. Purchase AppleCare+ with your new iPhone.
  2. Or buy it within 60 days of your iPhone purchase:
    • On your device (go to Settings > General > About and choose AppleCare+ Coverage Available)
    • Online (requires you to verify your serial number and run a remote diagnostic)
    • At an Apple Store (inspection of iPhone and proof of purchase are required)
    • By calling 0800 107 6285 (requires you to run a remote diagnostic and provide proof of purchase)

isn’t Apple Care + Theft and Loss available in the UK?

The best they offered me is new contract is £24 unlimited sim deal 5G one swappable.

Well after watching this thread I decided to use EE live chat spent almost 6 hours on live chat today after 7 tries since Wednesday got offered 15 pounds 200gb data unlimited mins text 24 months.(I did barter them for 13 pounds they said NO way the chap on live chat said move to three network for cheap deals.lol)

Aren’t there any deals on 12 month contracts these days?

I’m on IUP and got a slot for next Fri. I got 11 on release date...I think, is there a way to find out when and how many payments left, and also how much refund you would get on AC+ ?

Just I’m thinking, Apple are offering £420 trade in, so maybe cheaper to do that rather than normal IUP.

I’d still go on IUP, so can you trade in and use trade in credit for IUP?

Has anyone done this in the past? Not sure how much it’s worth it, can’t Ondine much as Apple will have it worked out, but wouldn't mind knowing figures.

Also if I turn up for my iPhone for the normal IUP, can this be changed? As in no trade in and just start again etc?

Thanks

Apple order still preparing for dispatch....all good!

amazon order is showing valid!

EE Customer Check your order has gone through
Ee has system failures yesterday

my friends order is not on the system and replaced this morning

I wished I kept an eye on this thread after I pre-ordered. Would have jumped on that Amazon mi-price.

Anybody with o2 spoken to them yet about getting a new 5G sim sent out?

I upgraded my Sim only deal with them yesterday and during the process it asked me if i was using it with an iPhone and I said yes, and then it asked me if it was 5G ready and I said yes and it automatically said it would send me a new sim.

I'd contact them if you're already on a deal and get them to send you a 5G sim.

General question since I've never pre-ordered an iPhone before: How accurate are the home delivery dates provided by Apple during ordering? Do they ever deliver earlier than stated?
They will never (with extremely rare exceptions) deliver before launch day but if you have a delivery window with a range of dates, they are sometimes updated to give you an earlier date. Apple tends to under promise and over deliver on delivery dates. They will notify you in advance though.

Was this a new contract sim?

Im on with them now, simply said can you send me a replacement 5g sim out as im getting a new phone, and they're trying to sell me a new 18 month contract

im already on a 12 month sim only which started in April, I just want a replacement sim with 5g at no more than the £20 I already pay 😫

Haven’t used Music Magpie in a few years but it seems the process has changed slightly now. Am I right in thinking that the QR code I get emailed to me will print an address label when it’s scanned at the post office as I saw no details on any address to send my phone to them?

Given EE are offering the best deals on 24 month contracts only Im thinking about switching to Three. Some good deals inc 5g for £18 p/m.

Im not techie but apparently they have certain bands of 5g which might be better in the short term. Anyone here know more than can shed any light?
