because I couldn’t decide for 10mins which phone and colour to order I ended up with the first week of November for delivery... silver 12 pro still looks like the longest lead time. Hoping my delivery gets brought forward.

I was in a similar boat, had a 2nd-9th November estimate on my Silver 128GB Pro from Apple. Someone else in this thread kindly pointed out AO.com had launch day stock (and still do!) so I cancelled my Apple order.

Received this beauty a couple of minutes ago for my blue 12 pro.
Was thinking initially to return it for the leather one, but probably I’ll keep it.
How come did they manage to deliver today, they posted last night!

Did it come via Royal Mail?

Looks nice. Have you or anyone else had experience with the silcone cases before? How do they hold up over a year? I’m now getting bought into buying one and getting one of those mag safe wallets.

Ok apple care cancelled on my 11 pro on IUP. That’s £91 back for that plus the £640 I should get from magpie gives me a nice sum of £730. £531 to pay back to Barclays leaves me £200 up over just returning the phone as a part of the standard iup process!

Happy days

It’s mental isn’t it. A bit more inconvenient doing it this way that handing it back but for me the inconvenience is worth the cash made!

...if these come in, they wont be implemented until the beginning of next week (they wont implement new restrictions mid week).

I reckon if they are imposed in Manchester area it will be midweek - they've been talking about it for ages and wont delay once they get the go-ahead.

Assuming your nearest Apple store is not close? Can’t see stores closing so it will come down to local restrictions and if people are willing to travel
I’m just outside Cardiff and have a iup reserved but unsure what to do? Can’t believe they don’t offer postal services in this day n age!!

I’d recommend Ted Lasso, I thought it looked crap from the trailers but it’s actually very good. I tried watching Tiny Planet but didn’t finish the first episode, haven’t watched anything else yet, I might watch Tehran.
Thanks for that. I think I’ve got about a week of my free subscription left so I’ll take another look.

Always had a black leather one (For X and 11 Pro). I think I am going to keep this, should be strong enough to keep a year (cases that cost £5 are able to do so!)

Anyone else having buyer’s remorse yet about not waiting for the Pro Max? 😬

I did initially but after a day of thinking I’m good with the pro. This years pro is bigger than my 11 pro so that’s good enough for now. Plus I was also thinking about next year - if apple go back to a September release schedule I’ll have to make an extra months payment (to get to 11 payments) to be able to upgrade in September 2021.

Looks a lot more purple IRL. Hmmm, got me rethinking my plum case now...

Thanks for sharing this...it’s tempting but not sure whether it’d be more hassle to return to them than Apple.

Did you request the trade in before or after the announcement? I’m going on iUP but might do this next year.

Hi team. Have a launch day 12 waiting for collection, considering the IUP - I'm sure there's loads of thoughts, so - hit me up - IUP - has it worked for people? Or is it BS?

I’ve done it every year since the 7 plus (I think that’s when it started). It’s very convenient. Not sure why its 20 months and it’s a bit annoying having to pay £69 each time you upgrade. The monthly payments are also a lot (I was paying £74 a month for the 11 pro max).

It’s very easy just giving your phone back at the end and getting the new one but you also lose money by doing it this way.

As others have this year I recycled privately, payed the loan off, claimed an AppleCare refund and took the 24 month interest free instead. I’m now paying less each month (admittedly it’s a less expensive phone and slightly longer finance) and made some money. Will probably do the same next year. Made the wife happy too!
