Yup agreed! I only use the big players like magpie and Mazuma
I had to cancel my MusicMagpie order in the end as I wouldn’t meet the 21 days for my quote sad times. But I managed to lock in for £600 from webuyanyphone.com hmm trustpilot says it’s good I sure hope so 😅

I didn’t. You fill out a form with your name and address (plus any previous addresses if applicable)

Took about 90 sec in all to complete the form and have it approved:)
I did try last night to access the account with the emails the 2 passworded ones but it wouldn’t go all the way said I had to call up to view my agreement

Thanks for the info, it says its all been accepted but wanted to make sure i hadn’t missed anything 🙂

Only thing left to do that i can see is log on at 1pm on Friday, add it to your bag and buy it! Then wait 🤣🤣

If you look on the app under your account there’s a section called approvals; that has everything stored so I’m assuming you click on that and it will add it to your bag or allow you to complete your purchase on Friday

Not done it all online before. I’ve always clicked for store pickup but that’s out of the question......😕

ReBuy offer £732 for it lol.

I don’t see a issue going in store personally, I feel it’s worse going to a busy supermarket where peeps are picking stuff up and then putting it back on the shelves.

Only bummer will be if the Apple store closes

I agree. I recently booked an appointment to visit one of my local stores, and they were only allowing 11x customers in at any one time - this includes customers seeking support at the Genius Bar.

Apple has rented out an empty lot in the shopping centre, where they checked me in, took my temperature and confirmed my contact details. They then had me wait on a socially distanced grid from others - there were only 2x of us on the grid anyway.

I went into the store, where all staff were wearing masks (and have been since the stores reopened and before they were mandated by government). They had plenty of cleaning supplies and said everything was wiped down between customers, but were happy to wipe everything down again in front of me.

It was all very relaxed due to how few customers were allowed in there. Possibly my most pleasant Apple Store shopping experience, even under current circumstances!

Rather underwhelmed this year overall. Have a 11 Pro Max that I don’t particularly like because it’s too big and only got because I wanted to “try” this larger size for the year.

My unicorn phone is the 12 Mini with a telephoto camera. So now I’m debating between 12 mini or normal sized 12 Pro. All the while coveting the 12 Pro Max’s better camera, but knowing I hate the size.

Need to do some sit down financial calculations because I know this sounds mad, but I don’t want to pay “full price” for my current 11 Pro Max. I’d rather trade it in and then it’s “only” cost me £1300-trade in price. But this is probably the false financial jujitsu employed by PCP/lease car salesman 😄

Good to hear, but can't see that working particularly well in central London at the Regent Street and Covent Garden stores...

Indeed, I agree with you.

I think anybody that needs to go in person for Upgrade Programme sign up will be as safe as possible, but I can foresee them trying to constrain crowds by purposely limiting physical stock in stores and mandating collection appointments.

So in a normal year the press would be able to have a hands-on with all of the phones right after the presentation... any info on when tech sites will be able to get their hands on these?

I think they will be in the hands of the select chosen few by Friday. The likes of Rene Ritchie and John Gruber received their Series 6 Apple Watch review units within a couple of days after the recent announcement.

Cool, makes sense. I knew you'd change your mind though lol. Which model you going for?

...64gb blue iPhone 12 with a few accessories.

I may also get the iPad Air as well (on my PayPal Credit account so I can spread the payments).

But you get allotted times no?

....exactly - that's why I don't think there will be queues, but you never know!!

Does anyone know if when pre-ordering via the Apple UK website store you can use a gift card to pay the full amount?

Had a problem last year when my debit card was declined due to it being a high amount so a gift card should avoid that.

Anyone?

...hmm - actually, the only way I am going to be able to afford both the 12 and the new iPad Air is if I go for iUP, which is £22.45 a month for 24 months with iPhone XS trade in (quite reasonable seeing that my last iUP was around £57 a month for 2 years!!) and just buy the iPad Air outright (£130 with current iPad Air 2 trade in).

Yep - think this is what I'm gonna do!

Now to go through the 'pre-approval' process via the app!!

Its gonna be a LOOOONG day next Friday at the Apple Store in Bromley - who's joining me?!!!!!!!!!!!

So just to clarify, does the 'Continue' button below sign you up for a new iUP as it doesn't specifically say:

Well... thought I was sure to get the blue but, as I go caseless most of the time was a little worried about that PVD coating... I keep my phones for 2-3 years so... went silver again.

The Silver iPhone X still looks incredible and any marks on the stainless steel easily polish out... Barclays pre approval completed and ready to rock and roll!

Say that to my 30 minute wait when I got my Apple Watch when I had an allotted time xD

I'm going onto the 24 month interest free payments and not bothering with the iUP anymore.

Cheaper per month, no up front fee and with the money I can get for my XS Max I can pay the remainder off any have cash left over for Christmas presents
