Yes, ordered the base model MacBook Air for light use. Seems a real bargain to me. Arrives Tuesday or Wednesday.

2 launch days in less than a week. How will I cope? 😂
I'm looking forward to hearing your thoughts.
I think we should get a UK preorder thread going somewhere, that way I can live through people who have purchased it until I can get my hands on one.

Hey gang, just wanted some thought thoughts on this adapter - I think the only place to buy it at the moment is Belkin direct. I need the standard usb for my Fitbit (sorry to all the Apple Watch users!) and wondering if the 32w will be the right one fast charge for the 12 pro max? Thanks in advance!

No email or text confirmation from EE, don't think I'm going to get one. I did get the DPD tracking number from EE though.
You got DPD tracking already? When did they send that. I’ve got nothing yet. I was expecting it tomorrow.

What insurance are people using? I was normally on iUP but on EE now. AppleCare+ or EE’s own? I go caseless so prefer the low excess of AppleCare but it would be nice to have lost+stolen cover too. Does anyone get AppleCare+ plus lost and stolen insurance?

Also was there some sort of discount on monthly AppleCare+ payments mentioned earlier?

Nationwide Flex Plus account which comes with insurance at £13/month

Cover mobile insurance for family members including lost/stolen/repair/replacement.
Travel insurance and UK/EU car breakdown recovery as well.

It is quite a useful account when travelling was normal.

It took about 3-5 days to receive back the repaired phone when last sent in for screen damage. AC repair/replacement may be faster lead time.

I have the same account, its awesome and well worth it.

The didn't ask me for a receipt either for a iphone X screen repair. (May be they do if you lose the phone though)

I also have backup mobile phone iunsurance on another bank account too.

There are quite a lot of insurance which cover for phone. Bank to bank differ. For example, Barclay have bicycle insurance.
AC is kind of redundant in my opinion if you got a spare phone during repair period.

I spent a LOT of time with a family members Archimedes.
Unfortunately never had one myself as my parents had paid a lot of money to buy me an Amiga 2000, but the Archimedes always had my heart.
It was Amiga vs Archimedes for me too but I went the other way! I'm looking forward to getting an ARM machine back on my desktop after 20+ years, will be waiting for the 16" MBP with mini-LED display though. I may replace our ageing 2012 Mac mini server...

[edit] Thoradin, kinster and I are officially the old people of the thread lol

Im behind on reading so might skip ahead, mac event yesterday plus xboxes arriving (mine came super early, so happy there!) - sorry if already been answered but when did we start moving to preparing to ship? Im still on processing but mid next week delivery so expect that

Just went to check my orders again and it now shows 'Orders are not available at this time. Please try again later' I remember this happening back with the 12s before apple made a lot for Shipped so maybe we'll see more movement

The post above is the first reported one.

HSBC Select and Cover for me. Allows you to pick from 6 different options. I pay £19 pm for (3 options) all mobiles, all gadgets and starter life lumpsum. Other options are Home, Travel and Motor Break Down cover. You can swap them too.

Somewhat related... I ordered a HomePod last night and got a tracking number from Apple this morning. When I click through to DPD, it says it was delivered in May and signed for by somebody else. When it asks to enter my postcode for more details, it's not recognised. Looks like Apple might have given me an incorrect tracking number

Hopefully they don't mess up the tracking for my iPhone! Ordered a 12 Pro Max 128GB Blue due for the 13th

That's happened to me in the past with several different retailers, I think it's because couriers recycle the tracking numbers so it's nothing to worry about, it will just take some time to update.
