So I have just been approved by Barclays for the loan and repayments over 24 months ...

What next? Log onto the app at 1pm on Friday to confirm purchase? Will I be given a choice of collecting in store or home delivery? Sorry it’s my first time purchasing through the loan.
I’ve just opened my app and got this.
I imagine tomorrow I open this and click the link (Ignore my leather strap I’ve been waiting forever for)

Yup same. More of a question to those who used the loan method on previous launches. How does the process now differ to someone who is buying outright with no loan? Do we still have to go through as many pages etc before our orders get confirmed.

What is the best route to get free financing but going into store to collect? The information on the app right now is very vague

This is the first year they have allowed us to get pre-approval on credit before pre-orders.

I think the info is quite clear.

Get pre approved on the app. Then when preorders go live on Friday, select in store collection.

Yes so mine is approved and showing right on the App Store too it’s just the Barclays’s emails that don’t work but all I’m going by is that they said I got approved so all is good as far as I’m concerned

I actually really want the plum case from Apple. That colour is so striking. I need a MagSafe charger too. Hoping this Friday I can actually grab one. Then it’s just the wait to preorder on 6th November

I’ve just done the Barclays pre-approval through the Apple Store App, can I use that to start an iPhone upgrade programme?

Nope. You have to do the iUP separately. I’m reading this as there is no pre approval for the programme.

It’s silly that they want you to go into a store just for a credit check and trade-in. It’s 2020 ffs

Hate to say but my brother in law does the Samsung equivalent of the IUP. They seem to manage to do it all online just fine. He gets his new phone and a box to send his old one back!

Me too, not the faintest idea why..
Looks like I won’t be bothering for a while as I don’t want to many searches on my credit file

I got declined last year because the email address I used in the store was different to my Barclaycard one. What a joke. They told me to try again but it was too late. Joined the UP using partners name instead. He was getting his too.

Wonder why people in the upgrade programme can’t half the order like people getting it on credit can. I still have to wait until 1pm tomorrow to even start it.

Has anyone been approved with another Apple product financed?

for example I have a MacBook on 0% finance so will Barclays allow two lots of finance?

Hi, just to confirm that you can have more than one active loan.

I bought my wife a new IPhone SE(2020) a couple of weeks ago through Barclays finance and was approved again yesterday for a new iPhone 12. As long as you have a good credit history then you should be fine 👍

Settled my 11 on iUP - paid £323 for the remaining finance, got a £69 refund for unused applecare, so a net cost of £254. And when I did the ‘pre credit’ thing for the 12, the app offered me £400 for my 11. So apple themselves are offering me £150 more to sell and trade up rather than just use the iup. I tried that route because we’ve paid more than the 11 months for iup already so it was losing even more value, plus I didn’t want to have to go to a store to do the transaction if I can avoid it.

Going for the 12 in white, £16pm on simple payments - and if I feel like upgrading I’ll just do the same thing next year. Method is so simple its my own personal iUP for less cost :)

Was difficult to choose though - I really wanted the pro in white to have that X style shiny band rather than the duller matt aluminium. But the really low price after tradein helped sway me to be a little more sensible and now I might be able to get my wife the mini sooner rather than later
