I'm going to have major pre-order envy tomorrow when everyone orders their iPhone 12 and 12 Pros but I will not cave, it's the Max I want...

Same same same but I'll be lurking till I can pre order my Max :D

Yeah I'm in the same boat now myself, gonna hold out for the Max.

My missus watched the event with me which was a huge mistake as she then wanted a Product Red iPhone 12.
But I've managed to persuade her there is absolutely nothing wrong with her 11! 🤫

Heh, when she sees your Max, she'll change her mind lol. We women can be like that.

Has anyone got a discount code to work on the EE £20 sim only plan
tried perks and student codes both aren’t being accepted when I try and upgrade

Possibly a bug, I renewed my EE sim only plan last week and used a code fine. Live chat will apply it for you and order your plan.

Where does it say anything about in store collection 🤦‍♀️
Tbh I believe that Barclays loan iPhones so NOT the iup has to be delivered to the cards billing address. This is the experience I’ve had every time I’ve gone down this route.... I’ve never had the option to collect the order in store through loans. It’s a security thing.

anyone switched from a max size to the 6.1 inch before? I have a XS Max at the moment and seriously considering the 12 or 12 pro (non max) this time round. I mostly love the max screen size for usability but I have small hands and it can be a bit unwieldy one handed. Plus it always feels a bit too big and heavy in pockets. Considering trying the smaller size but do wonder if part of the reason I want to is because I being impatient waiting for the larger size!

I'm going down this route. One reason is so the non-Max fits in my cars wireless charging bay with ease, the Max does not! I don't think I'll miss the Max as much as I think I will at this stage.

Guys, reading this forum is helpful. So confirm a couple of things: 1) If you are approved for the barclays loan, you can pay it off in full at month 12, trade it in and then get a new iphone again next year? 2) does anyone know if the iphone will support 5G+5G or 5G+4G dual sim?

Annoying that I cant get 5G plan from EE on 12 month contract. Guess gotta wait...

Thanks!

Ahhh another year, another pre order thread :D .

As others have said I'll be envious of those getting to pre order tomorrow, (anyone think that 1pm is just wrong? 8am! Thats when Apple pre-orders should start).
Then again a lot of oddities this year (to add to the general way the world has changed), Mid October announcement, then having to wait three weeks to pre-order (the Max) with the new iOS having been released weeks before rather than being something to tide you over between announcement and delivery. Oh for the good ol' days.

Anyway, having picked up the new phone each year now since the 5S, I'm on the hype train again. Thinking a Pro Max 512gb in Silver this year (like the look of the graphite and blue, but being able to polish scratches on the stainless band is a real plus in my book).

For anyone on EE, I know that you can definitely get 20GB of 5G for 14 p/m if you pester them. 100GB for 16 p/m but 100GB is overkill for me.

I did this temporarily last year when I switched from an XS Max to an XR. I surprisingly found myself really liking the 6.1 inch form factor, where it offered close to what I wanted from a larger phone but with increased hand usability.

If I were to upgrade this year, I would certainly go for the 12 Pro Max for myself as I simply value the camera upgrades too much. Perhaps next year they'll look to bring parity back to the 13 Pro and 13 Pro Max.

1) Yes and sorry don’t know number 2 :p
I’m with o2 and we don’t have 5G yet in my area so not going to bother until that happens

Vodafone have informed me that I can upgrade for only 300 quid, and I’ve got £500 for my 11 with a phone recycler.

Or I could buy outright for net £500 and be free to leave Vodafone within the next few months. Hmmmm.

This may come down to stock levels on Friday, or me knocking up a spreadsheet tonight to calculate best value. Or both 😂

Still completely undecided on which colour to get.. Noticed a post earlier showing that Good Morning America will have a hands on today so hopefully that means some first hand videos will pop up on line to get a better look.

Was leaning towards the Graphite with a Plum silicone case as it contrasts nicely but I just find all black/space grey/graphite iPhones to look a bit dull and boring.

Had Silver for my X and then 11 Pro as the silver edges and 'silver' (white) back looks premium imo, but this years silver from the pictures doesn't seem as striking..

Blue is a no go, I just don't get why I would want a blue phone.. does look nice though.

And the gold is a dark horse, could look a bit 'bling' but does look so shiny...

Either way it will be in a case, so for me its more of getting the square camera colour look nice with a case around it on the back as that's the only part of the phone that can be seen when there's a case on anyway (other than maybe the steel band at the bottom of the case that isn't covered) ... (can I say the word case any more)

I have three bars according to the coverage checker, woo! But I guess it's pointless where I live. There's definitely coverage in town.

Thats really good to know for me actually, 24 months or 12? And any smart benefits?

No smart benefits and unfortunately 24 months.

...not always the case - I picked up my XS in store 2 years ago using the Barclays loan system.

...I got the 20Gb for slightly more at £18 but I agree, 100gb is waaaaay overkill - I barely go over 5gb!!!!!

Yes, I do use Wireless Carplay too but even then I only really use up to 10GB a month.
