I got instantly declined... what a joke
Me too, not the faintest idea why..
Looks like I won’t be bothering for a while as I don’t want to many searches on my credit file
Hi, just to confirm that you can have more than one active loan.

I bought my wife a new IPhone SE(2020) a couple of weeks ago through Barclays finance and was approved again yesterday for a new iPhone 12. As long as you have a good credit history then you should be fine 👍

...weird that some seemingly eligible people are not getting approved in the app?! I cancelled my pre-approval last night (had a trade in attached to this) and then inputted a second application (without a trade in) and was approved yet again.

So do we have all the old faithful here:
@Jinjin
@Dino F
@Azzin
@Shanghaichica
@Cutiekitty92
@WRXiceman

who else have I missed?

....present!!
:apple:;)

....just a heads up for anyone on EE - when I switched my 4G sim plan to a 5G sim plan yesterday, my Visual Voicemail got automatically turned off by EE (thanks for that EE :rolleyes: ). I had to then text 'IPHONE VISUAL' (without the quote marks) to 150 to get it re- added to my account. You may have to do the same.

The same thing happened to my Apple Music - they refunded me the remaining balance and then I had to re-add it back onto the new sim plan (luckily it remembered all my playlists as I would have been mighty :mad: if it had not!!).

I’ll be Interested too see the price plans from the carriers, whether they’ll stay similar to those of the last release or if they’ll jack the price up... and if they’ll wait until preorders open or if theyll show the plans first so you can choose prior to preodere going live

I didnt realise you have to move plans on EE to get 5G. I thought you just got it? I had a 12 month sim that is just finishing will I have to do the same?

So having been torn between the 12 and the standard pro and then not being sure on the colour.

I’ve decided on the pacific blue pro - however, I’m hoping some hands on will appear today and if needs be when ordering tomorrow I might change my mind to graphite as per below

I suspect the carriers will keep the tariffs secret until pre-orders. I reckon they want you to make a rushed decision. The carriers will probably tell you that it's so the other networks don't undercut them with a better tariff at pre-order.

...if you have a standard 4G contract then its more than likely you won't have 5G (5G was not a thing 12 months ago so the 4G plans probably don't support it - its not automatically added).

Best you call them as you'll probably need to switch.....

Thanks. I have just spotted a good deal anyway. £20 for 100gb but an 24 month instead of 12.

.....but the MR front page suggests that the 24 month no interest option via the Apple Store app is indeed for the iUP :

I'm confused...?!?!!!

@Jinjin Can you clarify....?

😕
After much deliberation I've decided not to upgrade this year, I was looking at the 12 or 12 Mini but I can wait until next year.

Love the JoJo.

Yeah, there always be next year! I did it last year! :)

Big decision for me this year...

The Google Pixel 5 is not premium enough in terms of what I expect from a flagship smartphone in 2020. In a few ways its actually a step down from my Pixel 4XL in terms of specs / usability / size. Google have chosen to go mid-tier instead of competing with a premium flagship. So the dark side is disappointing!

The upside is I'm happy to be officially back with the Force joining you all on the annual iPhone juggernaut!

Specifically now waiting for the full fat iPhone 12 Pro Max in November.
Currently undecided on both memory size and colour. New Pacific Blue looks classy as does Silver and Graphite!
Will likely buy outright instead of doing the upgrade scheme. Or option to use a monthly salary sacrifice scheme via my work if I bought directly from Stormfront, but its only a small % national insurance saving.

I do a lot of photo work and videography - really excited about the new cameras, especially being able to record and edit in Dolby Vision HDR at 4K 60fps - which will couple up nicely with my Panny GZ2000 4K OLED TV!

Count me in, too.

Been here since iPhone 7 - 2016. First year I'm not upgrading, but somebody in the family is at the very least!

I’m here too. I’ve been around since the 1st iPhone, 13 years ago, and actually started the iPhone 4 UK thread, which was a monster.

All credit to @Jinjin for the incredible effort that he puts in every year. Impressive stuff in these complicated days of IUP, finance, trade in, phone recyclers, reservations, eSims etc.

I normally use the EE Annual Upgrade program but my 11 Pro 256GB got mugged by a moped thief in London in July :(

£495 to upgrade if I dont have my handset!!!

I wonder if they will take my previous XR 256GB instead of the 11 Pro, has anyone tried this before?

Alternative is not to renew on EE and buy outright from Apple using the trade in (around £950 for a 256GB Pro Max) so I can finally be free of these 24month contracts!

Where do you get the list of charges with EE mate if you dont have the handset? I have mine locked in for £630 so if I have to pay £500 to hand it back, I'm £130 up?!

I'm going to have major pre-order envy tomorrow when everyone orders their iPhone 12 and 12 Pros but I will not cave, it's the Max I want...

Yeah I'm in the same boat now myself, gonna hold out for the Max.

My missus watched the event with me which was a huge mistake as she then wanted a Product Red iPhone 12.
But I've managed to persuade her there is absolutely nothing wrong with her 11! 🤫

the value differs for each handset
