I have the 12 mini, but my existing Anker QI pads work fine, as does my Elephas Qi Wireless Charging Stand. Apparently there were issues which iOS 14.2 resolved. Have you updated your phone yet? There is a thread on MacRumors Forums discussing which QI pads work and which don't. Anker seems a pretty safe bet.Just off thread a little but I went to charge my iPhone 12 pro max last night with my Anker power wave stand only for it not to charge as the blue circle just kept flashing so it appears that it’s not compatible with my new iPhone. Apart from Apple’s own MagSafe charger, what does everybody else use to charge their new phones?. Ideally I’d like a stand to keep by my bed as opposed to having it lay flat whilst charging?.
100% agree about the shiny edges. Absolutely beautiful design, only tainted slightly with the shiny edges.Right, so I know this is probably a ‘cool story bro’ moment but who cares... This iPhone 12 Pro Max is honestly the absolute perfect phone for me. I love the design and honestly would be happy if Apple just iterate on this design for a few years. The form factor is perfect, I love that the Apple cases finally cover the bottom of the phone, I love that the screen goes right to the edge, I love there are no rounded edges or stupid curved glass... for me, this is perfection.
Edit: Oh, except for the shiny shiny edges... make a pro phone with a matte effect next time!
*dismounts soapbox*
what you going for now then?Decided to return my Max, it's just one step to far from my XS Max plus the square side design i feel is more uncomfortable (TPU case seems to dig into my little finger which is positioned over the charge port).
On the Apple order list there isnt an option to return though?! I ordered using Barclays 0%.
Yeah, a case sorts it for me too... I just love the iPad Pro edges and wish this phone was the same, but it’s a tiny detail. Everything else is superb and I’ll be sticking with this for a long time I think!100% agree about the shiny edges. Absolutely beautiful design, only tainted slightly with the shiny edges.
I personally far prefer the matt effect edges of the previous 4/5 design, and think it would have blended in much better with the matt effect rear of the handset.
However, I use a Spigen case that has a solid bumper around the edge though, so once that's fitted, it becomes completely irrelevant though.![]()
I see little difference to my Xs Max really, in fact the Xs Max screen is brighter and crisper but maybe I need glasses, however for me I like the square edges of the Pro Max, I don't like the rounded ones and always had to have them in cases as too slippy, for the extra money though its pretty ridiculous with such few minor changes that would affect the normal person, as I said before its the camera I will enjoy playing with but as for the rest I just don't get it, never mind those upgrading from an 11 series, but if you can afford it why not?Decided to return my Max, it's just one step to far from my XS Max plus the square side design i feel is more uncomfortable (TPU case seems to dig into my little finger which is positioned over the charge port).

I found it worse with a ESR TPU gel case tbh.Boy this is one uncomfortable phone! I’m having quite a hard time with the sharp edges cutting into my fingers and my hands.
But I don’t see them changing the design for a number of years yet so... may as well get used to it now!
I wonder if a case would help with the sharpness albeit it adds weight and I usually prefer to see the beauty of the design....
These were the ones of the 12 Pros I took in the Apple Store before pre-order, cant help with the max's but the finish would be the samecan someone post pictures of the gold and the silver please, if possible side by side,
I've still got my XS Max, might try my sons 11 Pro for a bit (his Xmas present...lol) to see how it feels size/weight wise. I've always been a Plus phone owner (6, 7, Xs Max).what you going for now then?
Mine either sorted themselves out overnight or using your phone restart tip nudged them into action, but all mine are back.Mine was the same when I temporarily moved to the SE, after restarting the phone they all appeared. I’ve just transferred to the Pro Max - they’re not showing yet so if it’s still the same in the morning I’ll restart
Sorry to hear that! When did you order it and how long is the delay?iPhone Pro Max 256GB PB ordered from Amazon and its been delayed! Grrr!
Apple told me that you can swap the colour without having to do another credit check or application - call them. I’d be interested to know just how it works as I have PB but not 100% taken and like the Graphite.Just out of interest. Those who bought using 24 months barclays interest free loan, can you swap the phone for another colour? Or do you have to go thing the whole loan application again?
Ive got PB but the Silver has me interested. I like the way the camera sort of blends into the whole back.
To confirm, are iPhone purchase from apple eligible for return until 8 jan. if using the express storefront option?Just picked my 12 pro max gold from Apple Covent garden. Whole process took less than 2 minutes. Have to say, after originally getting the pacific blue, I am so glad I got the gold. It looks stunning. The edges look amazing and the back is a nice tone as well. As much as I wanted to like the PB, it was too dark for me.
Yes, we are now within the extended Christmas return period. To confirm, are iPhone purchase from apple eligible for return until 8 jan. if using the express storefront option?
Just been on with them. And as its a loan, you can't straight swap. It has to go back for a full refund and you have place a new order again. Which will mean a new credit check if you choose barclays.Apple told me that you can swap the colour without having to do another credit check or application - call them.
