I returned my PB Pro Max and I ordered a PB Pro on the 7th. Estimated delivery date is between the 24th and the 1st of December
Can I ask what it was about the MAX you didn't like? Size or Weight?

I'm coming back to Apple following a 4 year stint with Google Pixels.

If it’s coming from the UK then you should get it in the next day or so. It depends if it’s being shipped from China
I have receved a tracking link for DPD. However when I click on it. It takes me to old delivery back in May lol

Just read someone else had that problem. It appears DPD recycle their tracking numbers. It should update properly in the morning.
I had a same issue with nike parcel. Same tracking was pulling an old delivered item (to someone else) and tacking was live for my parcel at the same time.

What’s making you re-think?
I’ve checked my iPhone storage daily since getting the phone. I never did that with my X. I’ve always gone with the largest capacity but iCloud is the main driver for the reduction.

I’ve backtracked slightly since my OP though, feeling better after managing to regain 7GB from Notes – dodgy reporting I think. As long as I’m connected to good Internet, Photos and Music can be grabbed from the cloud. I’m only using 50GB so I’m fretting over nothing really.

I made the somewhat worrying leap from 256GB to 128GB based on cloud storage, up till now I couldn't trust I had enough space on device but now with so many options to offload data to cloud services it now seems ridiculous to me to have huge amounts of storage on my Phone, and after a clean up of my old data resulting in a saving of 32GB I'm more than comfortable I didn't need the storage capacity on my phone.

The only caveat to that is in situations where there's no access to cloud services then it's back to the old days of what you can store on device.

I just picked one up yesterday from a local Waitrose as I ordered from John Lewis, the cable is fixed to the unit and USBC connection the other end, the cable is around 93cm long, you DO require a 20w or above USBC charger too plug it into, I bought the one shown in the image below on a pre black Friday deal for £27.59 from Amazon that is more than sufficient, I am sure the deal will come up again over black friday proper, with the phone bare it magnetises quite well to the unit, not sure if I would dangle it over a stone floor and shake it but I would say if you had it on the dashboard of your car for example it would hold it. The cable coming from the puck is a bit of a pain but you just rotate the puck so the cable comes away where it doesn't t annoy you when holding it, it DOES charge faster and when you attach it a circle appears on the screen confirming connection, but DOES NOT work through my silicon case, I just sent my Apple case back because it was awful and not worth the money IMHO, I bought the Nodus MagSafe compatible case that is also magnetic, see link for info https://noduscollection.com/collections/phone-cases/products/shell-case-3

There will be bare support units of all different types appearing soon I guess like the apple watch where you put your own puck in, is it worth it, in a one word NO as you still have to buy the charger that Apple said they weren't including to save the environment, wait a minute another van just had to deliver that in further packaging!!!!, BUT I had no choice, its more a max £25 unit to me but at least I have one original one, I won't be rushing out to buy another!

Hope this helps 👍
Thank you for your reply.

Have just placed an order for one.

Ah i see. Well my status for a Pro changed to preparing to ship overnight so hopeful to see the phone by the end of the week.It wasn't due until the 1st December.
There seems to be plenty of stock around for Pro Max's in the retails stores as well.

If you need some back up, Alexa Echo dots are on offer today or if you want to compare to the HomePod mini, or add to what you have, you need to make the order through an existing Echo by saying “Alexa order an echo dot”, it will then appear in your Amazon cart on your phone or computer/iPad where you can then complete the purchase and get it for £28.99 saving £21. https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B084DWCZXZ

NOTE: Grey is default, if you want white just say “Alexa order a white Echo Dot” it them puts a glacier white one in your basket

Any way in which you can order and not get it to link to your account? I would like one of these for a present.

I bought one as a present, you can change it when it arrives, easy, tap Settings on the left-hand side. Click on the name of the device you wish to deregister. Tap Deregister and Confirm.

Do a google search, easy to de register a device :)

...even at the standard price of around £50, its still very competitive when compared to the HomePod Mini as they are virtually the same.

I'm now wondering if I should cancel my HomePod order and just go with the Echo instead (4th gen) which is half the price of Apple's one....?!

🤔
