Got my last delivery of Apple goodness through today with the new HomePod Mini's, finally have to put the card away and block Apples website before I bankrupt myself, got all the below not since the start of the year but only since July, Lockdown + Apple gadgets = 9p noddles for Christmas dinner😂

...wow - is the sound really that bad??!

I thought it would be far better than the Echos (the larger Echo 4 has great sound from what I have seen in the reviews)......

@markhort How are you finding the sound as I'm in two minds whether to cancel my current HomePod Mini order and go with an Echo instead (either the Echo 4 or the new Echo Dot 4)?

Delivery is due between 15:45 and 16:45.

I made the decision earlier to cancel my HomePod Mini order (shipping was miles away on the 22nd December anyway!) as based on the reviews, it seems the Echo 4 (not the Dot version) is cheaper and has better sound quality + a lot more functionality when paired with smaller Echo Dots around the house (which are also much cheaper than forking out £99 for every additional HomePod Mini you may want to add).

This, to me, explains the trouble that you had with the ESR screen protectors. It must have been a faulty batch.

How great are the leather cases this year? Much better than previous years and California poppy 😍.

Leather Cases - Patina Proud Photos

So I said I was interested in seeing how the California Poppy leather case ages and develops a patina. Here’s mine after just one day of use (this is in and out of my Jeans pocket with typical use, and the jeans are over a year old).

The Baltic Blue had was almost too soft and got a gouge within a week even though I was very careful with it.

And this is why I say every year that I wont buy an Apple leather case. I got one of the first ones years ago - a sort of cement colour - and it was disgusting within a week or so. They also scratch far too eaily for my liklely. I dont buy into the patina love and I don't spend over £1k on a phone to carry it around in a filthy looking, scratched case!

This may sound unpopular opinioView them?n. I simply not buying stuff pop up randomly in social media app.
In fairness, I still think some of big brand third parties are not value worth.
I used to be a fan of Totallee, Peel but those are totally comparable with £3 Cases. Buying accessories is like treasure hunting and it’s a tough job.

Never heard of them. I usually avoid even looking at the instagram ads as 9 out of 10 times they are dropshipping related advertising.

When I clicked through to the IG page they were liked by a few people I follow so I figured they might possibly be known by someone here. I could not have put it better myself. Unless the quality has improved, then they are not at all durable. However, I have bought a black one from Amazon (for £48) to see whether they have improved. We'll see.

Have you managed to call them? My faulty Belkin screen protector was collected by UPS yesterday morning and Apple is receiving it back today. And replacement screen protector is dispatched this evening.

That's my concern. I was going to take a photo of the driver with the package but thought it would be rude. I can identify him though. He comes here regularly.
