Anyone know if NHS employees can get a discount on these? I signed up for the Health Service Discounts account with my NHS email address but it is still showing the iPhone 12 and 12 Pro at full price, with a slight discount on the 11 (£586.80 vs £599). Is it normal for the newest models not to be discounted?

Thanks

They never discount the new phones or AirPods. Normally happens a few months after!

Edit - I see this has already been answered. Apologies!

Anyone keeping their old phone as a backup device.
I'm tempted to keep my iPhone 11 Pro 256Gb for a backup spare phone the trade in prices sucks this year last year I received £710 in the end of August for a iPhone XS max 64gb.

I’ve got a blue light card from work, and it offers 2% discount on iPhones and that’s across the range.

I'm not NHS but I have access to the Apple Corporate Perks site through both my current employer and a former employer and the discounts seem to be the same.
There is usually no discount on new iPhones for the first few months. The 2% iPhone discount should apply to the iPhone 12 from early 2021.

Nah, just lock in your price sooner.

I have an old 7+ which im using as my backup device at the moment, sent my 11 Pro off to Music Magpie so this is mine until next week.

Quite nice having a button again!

So, which retailers normally have stock for pre-order, other than Apple? I’ve been getting upgrades from my network for the last few years, but I’m going to go SIM free this year.

I’m guessing John Lewis, Very?

I'm thinking heading back to live chat tomorrow. (prepared for another 2 hour fight) and Change my plan to the 100gb for £12 5G plan(hardly use anything over 50gb these days due to working at home)
What plan is that if you don’t mind me asking? Does it include any smart benefits?
I tried with them over live chat today but they wanted to charge me more for less data that I have just now on a 24month sim only

1. HomePod & HomePod mini are only available in Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Hong Kong, India, Japan, Spain & USA

2. iPad Air available October 2020

Anyone else not loving the new design on the Pro models ?

using that great comparison tool link here to compare the XS to the iPhone 12 Pro. The XS looks way better to me. I still don’t think I’m in the market this year. Disappointed by lack of high refresh screen and the pro Max is still a brick in terms of being too heavy.
I might consider a downgrade from my pro Max 11 but l honestly think the 12 Pro is ugly.

I might try that myself next time! They may be inclined to cave in if the process is exceedingly slow.
Live chat better deals due to the agent on the other end is based on feedback system at the end of the chat any bad or low feedback he/she misses out on nice bonus.

Phoning up is definitely different you cannot rate the advisor or agent.....

I'm on a 100gb 5g Vodafone plan for £20 for 24 months, but with £288 cashback, so effectively £8 a month. Been impressed with Vodafone so far, much better signal and 4g speeds compared to EE where I am.

what options do you do on live chat tried by clicking upgrades then it said online chat not available to phone up

If even go as far to say I may consider picking up a discontinued 11 Pro (cheaply?) rather than a 12 Pro as the design is better on the 11 series.

I’ve spent ages tonight looking at the compare tool and Apples own website but I just can’t love the new ones.

EE offered me today on live chat after pushing them for 2 hours.
£22 unlimited everything 24 month contract 5G one smart benefit included sim only plan

Another plan they offered aswell is £16 for
200gb data 5G ready.

Taken the unlimited deal for 22 pounds now need to wait till Nov 6th to preorder my iPhone 12 pro max in blue colour.

Let's hope we are not having a national lockdown on the 26th October heard rumors going around nothing is comfirmed.

Seems like you got a good deal, I am on the old Max plan 30gb unlimited texts and mins for £21.86. Been out of contract for 2 years but haven't upgraded as didn't want to lose my America and Canada roaming but I guess I can still get this with the swappable benefit. Will try live chat tomorrow
