The cable provided with the phone is pretty short and most people including myself need much longer cables. As it happens I already have quite a few of these. That said I use MagSafe wireless charging at home and only use a wired connection when out or travelling.
FineWoven quality didnt cut it for me. I reckon the silicone is the better choice vs fine woven this year. For drops it's great, long term durability is the only reason I'm going for a third-party leather. On my last Apple silicone case, the bottom edges went shiny over time but they are still a decent option, especially with the colours.
Looking at how I go with the cases:
I use the leather cases for special occasions or somewhere I dress up
I also have at least one silicon case for every day use
I always bought the Apple leather cases in the past, but Fine Woven didn't convience me from the photos this year. And it seems that I was right not ordering one.
At the end of the day, it all depends on whatever the use case is for each individual. For myself, I can't imaging taking a leather case at the gym or a hike. A Fine Woven? Perhaps it has its place. Maybe going for a quick coffee with a friend. Or shopping. But... not at the price they are selling it.

The one that comes in the box is allegedly not USB 3 so charging and data speed might not be the best.
All this talk of cases…. Personally I’ll be going for one of the Apple clear cases. Had one a few years ago and did the job for me. My phone doesn’t live in a case 24/7, only for work times.
This year had a silicon and it’s destroyed from peeling and shining. The clear case is a lot more durable in my opinion.

I believe charging speeds will be the same. Only data transfer varies with a USB 3.
Maybe a little in places but for me it was still in a better condition at the end than silicons and leathers I’ve had in the past.
Might take 7-10 days but they are not hard to get in the UK. 15PM case is already on its way from the USA.
Which make of clear case have you used? I usually buy a black leather Apple case but that’s not an option this year, for a change I’d like to buy a clear case so I can see the phone. Not sure if it’s worth paying the extra for the Apple clear case or if some of the cheaper alternatives are as good or better.
How does the apple clear case feel in the hand?

Did you get order confirmation?
I did the same and got and email of the order to be confirmed but not the confirmation in itself.
If I check box website I do not have any order listed. PayPal shows as pending but during the process accepted the credit.
Thanks. I’ll maybe try the Apple clear case, I had considered the Spigen Ultra clear case but I’ve read that turns yellow fairly quickly.
Amazon UK went live at the same time as Apple on Friday.
I managed to order a Natural Titanium 256GB PM at around 1.13pm. All the models disappeared pretty soon after that.
Only trouble is I have a pending delivery date with Amazon, I’m not very optimistic about a release day delivery given past experience.
I’ve got a Spigen on my 12 PM and it’s still pretty good, have gone for another for the 15 PM that also has magsafe in it. At £20 I can buy another and still be cheaper than apples case.
This one is currently £10 off on Amazon, just ordered for £39
