I'd take his opinions with a large pinch of clickbait salt; looks like he hasn't even tested actually using the 15 Pro Max cameras which means his view is pure speculation based on the keynote.

I'm waiting for the proper/dedicated camera reviews to come in on the 15 Pro Max from non-YouTube influencers.

I’d never get AppleCare. My phone is covered via domestic and general including water damage and theft and loss via home insurance. The damage cover is £4 a month cheaper through domestic and general.

How quick,is the repay/replacement process?

My order email says on release day, in the app it says it’s being processed, probably won’t find out until Thursday evening if and when I get a dispatch email, I’d like to think by Thursday they’ll let me know either way. Ordered a PS5 through them and received it on release day, but other than that I’ve never preordered through them.

I'm hoping mine is DPD and the 1 hour timeslot is in the morning lol.
I remember my 12 PM was delivered around 3pm which felt like I was waiting ages!

DPD sometimes offer an upgrade to before noon delivery for £5 once it has reached your local depot.

Re the photo quality of the main lens I would be very surprised if that would be worse, than on the 14 Pro or even just similar. It is essentially the same camera that Apple had a year to tweak. There must be a reason they are confident enough to set the standard output to 24 megapixels.

The fact that the occasional phone comes back into stock for preorder at Argos would suggest that they’re working with some kind of stock level numbers. Fingers crossed.

Yeah you’d like to think so, I’d say alongside Very, Curry’s and the traditional carriers, Argos is probably one of the biggest retailers of Apple products, especially on the run up to Christmas so you’d like to think they’ve got it relatively in hand.

Mine has just changed from 'coming soon' to 'Delivery Saturday' - which is a bit irritating as when I checked out the order, it said 'Delivers Friday'.

100% agree.
That's why I went from a 13PM 512GB to a 15PM 512GB, even though I didn't need any of the extra features, or didn't need more then 256GB either. Heck I probably won't even 'feel' much of an upgrade beyond the setup phase.
Last year I was strong. I resisted. This year I broke. Like a fool.
But that's it. No more. Now I will be strong. I will be the winner!! No more new phones for the next 3-4 years at least!!!........unless it's something big.....or a nice color.......or I need more storage.......hmmmm......

or if comes in a shiny new box with a different design in the front 🙂

On Friday I’m getting my phone and a new Apple Watch, whats the best way to go about setting them up? Presumably I transfer one phone to the other first and do the Watch after but will I need to connect my old watch to the new phone before setting up my new watch or do I just connect my new watch straight to the new phone. It also has a cellular plan I need to transfer if that makes a difference?

What I would do unpair the watch so that you have a backup of the watch on your phone. Remember to keep the data plan if you have one.
Back up your phone. Then restore to your new phone from that backup and then pair your new watch using the watch backup on your new phone.

I don't have the app but my email confirmation says "your order will be sent to you on its release date" so I'm really hoping they don't let anyone will pre orders down.

Just ordered the Mujjo case in Burgandy and Tan for my Pro Max 256GB Titanium Blue. Will look over both colours and keep one out of the two.

Note - it seems to be cheaper on Amazon than direct website. £50 per case on Amazon vs £65.


Will order a some Apple Silicone cases as well to compare, if I prefer those. Which silicone case do we think goes best with Titanium Blue?

Upgrading from my iPhone X since 2017 - can't wait until Friday.
