Which 15 Pro are you getting?

I was in Sainsburys last night and even their messages of the tannoy was about the new iPhones and asking people to go to the Argos kiosk to pre-order.

no way they're going to have all this stock around

See this worries me...

Up until yesterday evening on their website they kept showing stock available for launch day delivery for most colours/space in iPhone 15 Pro.

I placed my order on Sunday (I've also ordered with Apple for a Pro 128 but decided I wanted the Pro 256 instead so place another order with Argos) and I'll be SO annoyed if they don't fulfil that now because I too can't see how the hell they have that much stock unless they've got some agreement with Apple to buy X numbers of units this year?

Sort of regretting not getting the Max... The price difference between that and the 256GB 15 Pro is negligible and I’m using Barclays 0% financing anyway.

My last iPhone order was an 11 Pro Max - it's served me well. My iPhone 15 Pro Max order (Titanium black 512GB) is the first time I've pre-ordered and been given a delivery date of launch day. Ever. Excited? You bet!

However, after several days, my order still shows as "Preparing for shipment". I've read about the delivery system not being updated for ages, but I just wondered what I should expect. This is pretty much new territory for me, particularly regarding an iPhone order. I don't think I can use my past experiences ordering Macs and iPads as anything much to go by.

run your nail along and see if the mark remains? that's my worry, it will look battered after a few weeks of use
I have seen people doing that and I just tried it but it didn’t leave any marks on the case… Think I’m going to keep it to be honest, love the feel of the material.

It won't show as shipped until Thursday if you're getting it Friday.

if you've ordered from Apple and expecting your phone to be delivered to you on Friday then it will be tomorrow the status starts to change. Usually from late morning things happen. Will be DPD or DHL. if you have the DPD app you will likely get a ping on that first before the actual apple order status changes. if its DHL you may get a text but its likely the apple.com order status will change to shipped and have a tracking link in. That link goes to Syncreon and from there you can find the actual DPD link.

on Friday morning you will get the usual DPD or DHL 1 hour window push message and/or text.

Just had delivery of the Mujjo leather case. A fantastic choice given Apple have stopped making leather cases.

Never had a launch day device not turn up on launch day. Usually morning too.

I got the Black FineWoven case and wallet.
I think they are nice, I have attached MagSafe accessories to the case and so far no marks.
Even if it does get some marks on it I am not that bothered unless it completely falls apart.
As long as it keeps my phone safe and feels good in the hand it will be fine.

Somewhat off-topic, but might be handy info for others....

I received a letter today in the post from EE saying that they made an error when I took a contract out with them last August and that they had failed to send me contract summary information etc. as they are obliged to do. It seems there was an Ofcom investigation into this and EE came out on the wrong side of it.

I had the option to download the docs or cancel my contract mid term with no fees if I opted to do so. I've just called them and was as able to cancel it with no issue whilst keeping my phone. Others have also been offered a free upgrade as another option instead of cancelling.

Link to the ee forums where others are discussing it:

For those that have used the Torras protectors before. Are they really the easiest to apply and definitely eliminate all the dust and bubbles? No one else seems to make this claim.
I’ve used similar and yeah, they’re genius! This looks the same. You put your phone in the holder, then peel back a film layer which is inside the contraption - this removes any dust and then you apply the screen protector whilst it’s inside. Definitely the best way of doing it - I’m super OCD about getting dust specks under the screen protector so for me it’s well worth the extra!
