Yes nothing to worry about, except that they still have the pre-auth, so don't go spending as they can still take the money even if it puts you over the limit.
I'm collecting iPhone in store, similar pattern. AWU2 being delivered however, and that payment has cleared (its on my online statement)

Somewhat off-topic, but might be handy info for others....

I received a letter today in the post from EE saying that they made an error when I took a contract out with them last August and that they had failed to send me contract summary information etc. as they are obliged to do. It seems there was an Ofcom investigation into this and EE came out on the wrong side of it.

I had the option to download the docs or cancel my contract mid term with no fees if I opted to do so. I've just called them and was as able to cancel it with no issue whilst keeping my phone. Others have also been offered a free upgrade as another option instead of cancelling.

Link to the ee forums where others are discussing it:
I don’t think I’ve ever in my life received a contract summary from EE and I’ve had many with them…

Looks like some EE upgraders are getting ‘order dispatched within next 24hrs’ on the tracking page.
When I track my order it shows that the information isn’t available and to check back on Friday. I have a proper order number and had confirmation that my order is live … do you have a link to the tracking page?

Hello all

Enjoying reading the threads and fab to see the excitement building:cool: I pre-ordered through Apple last Friday but the app and safari kept crashing and didn't get my order in until 13:20 o_O by then the order date had slipped to 27th September - 2nd October for a Pro Max in white. I've always had a release date order so it is a bit disappointing but can live with it - but wondered (based on previous years) what the likelihood is that I may receive it earlier.

Thoughts on a postcard please .

Thanks

I had that when using my mobile number. Put in your email instead and it works.

I ordered at 5:15 am last Friday. My account says delivery on Friday, but it still hasn't shipped. Is that possible?

Historically they tend to under-promise and over-deliver so I'd expect it around the start of your stated window, maybe a day or two before, but don't think (esp. as it is a Max) you'll get it much earlier.

It seems that everyone these days goes for the Pro Max. The normal Pro's are not that popular anymore

I guess people want the bigger screen and battery compared to better portability.

They do the tracking differently now to how they used to do it. The USA buyers can still track their individual orders via UPS but it seems the UK, and probably the EU can't either, as tracking will only appear once they are distributed from the UK warehouses to the subsequent courier companies.

If you do need the app to "download new sim", be aware that sometimes it doesn't activate for some reason.

If so - see this: https://community.ee.co.uk/t5/SIM-cards-Porting/Can-t-activate-eSim/td-p/1153622

It explains how there is a background sms activation that fails, and if you login to your account on web (not app), and you can sort it from there.

Had this happen a couple of times over the last few years.

Now I'm worried, ordered a eSim from EE on Monday should be here tomorrow. I have a physical SIM at the moment, but wanted a sim, so I could then put my physical work sim in in 15PM and not carry 2 phones around anymore! Should I wait on activation of the eSIM to Saturday/Sunday and install my normal EE Sim for the launch day?
