Small titbit from my visit to the Apple Store yesterday - apparently on launch day, 47% of Pro phones sold/ordered in the UK were Blue Titanium, however when taking the Europe region as a whole, over 50% are Natural Ti. They seem high to me so take with a pinch of salt, but thought it was interesting.

Hey everyone! Are any of you guys having any issues with your 15 promax? A friend of mine got his on Friday, and he was telling me, that whenever he makes a FaceTime call, it gets really hot, and the battery drains really quickly! He said he has been doing some googling, and it is all over Google? People seem to think that the processes are too fast for these phones? He is totally blind like me, so has his brightness on zero, auto brightness off, always on display off, background app refresh off. But he said it is just draining like crazy! Not good for a brand-new phone! And he uses FaceTime audio, not video.
Only 2 relevant results on the first 3 pages of google for me and none specifically about the 15 Pro Max, just general articles about the iPhone getting hot while using FaceTime. Doesn't really seem to be "all over google". I used "iPhone 15 pro max FaceTime hot" as my search string, maybe he's doing something different though?

Using the action button as a camera came in handy at football yesterday, trying to capture the moment for those who could not attend.

it’s so much more tactile / intuitive when you’re at an event to use the shutter button! My team also scored 4 goals so it got plenty of use :D
Why is this any better than just using the volume up button?

I got the 256gb but can’t help thinking if I should have gone for 512. Crazy as I have over 100gb free. Anyone else thinking this or is it just me?

Yes exactly. The main website only shows stock when they have >10 units whereas the upgrade page shows <10. And they don’t mind how you pay.
This is interesting. How do you get to see the option to join IUP to see the stock?

Edit worked it out ignore me. :)

I’m expecting mine 27-2nd and just received a shipped notification with tomorrow as the pickup point , if anyone else is in same boat
Is that pick from the Apple Store? I am waiting for mine with the same date for store collection.

Anyone looking for a good quality but cheap case, I picked up a plain black ‘proporta’ case from Argos for £9.99. The quality feels incredible, light and sturdy. The images on their site make it look like a lighter black than it is in person, the actual case is as deep black as you’d expect

The only minor weird thing is the volume and power buttons are buttons in the case but the action button is a cutout exposing the handset button. Makes it a bit harder to press, which actually might be the point to not accidentally activate it. Great case especially for the price though.

Depends on your use case, that 100Gb is only enough for 15min or so of ProRes 4K video... If you're not using that or planning to download a load of movies etc. then you should be fine, the file management / cacheing from iCloud is pretty efficient now.

My MM update.

Saved order if chose kiosk dropped it by over £100, if chose RM didn’t drop.

Checked out with RM, got order no etc. Went to local kiosk, scanned QR, said take to post office, tried order no, said problem with order, valued there and then, gave me same dropped price.

So think I’ll try RM now to see what get. Anyone sending via RM getting their original saved price quotes?

I don’t have a physical SIM, but an eSIM on my current phone. So when new phone arrives, I just request a new eSIM on the My O2 app? How long does it take?

Yes, just request a replacement on your new iPhone through the app and follow the steps from there.

As soon as you’ve received your OTP code and entered it was 1-2 minutes before I got the QR code to scan.

Yeah same here. I thought I wouldn't like NT but when I finally saw the colours in person when I went to pick mine up (blue) I instantly fell in love with the NT.

A part of me wants to return it and swap colour.

Torras GlassGo is the one to get for best coverage if you're not price sensitive.

ESR if you want bang for buck and don't mind some border encroachment due to thicker borders.
Do both ESR screen protectors have black borders this year? I thought it was just on the more expensive version

How’s everyone FineWoven case looking so far? My Mulberry coloured on hasn’t got a mark on it yet, I have quite long natural nails and was worried about these scratch marks people were mentioning in reviews. I haven‘t put it in my handbag yet but to be honest I always put my phone in an inside pocket on its own so it doesn’t have keys or anything else scratching against it.

My black wallet and case have both been fine so far. As long as they don’t fall apart, I have no issues if they get a few marks. It will give them a bit of character.

Following up -

ESR cloud case with stand - will be returned as it collects far too much dust and dirt. I really like the stand, if only they made this case in leather.

Cyril by Spigen - will be returned as very tight fitting so not easy to put on and take off. Not a fan of the hard plastic back.

Elago Magnetic - 50/50 whether to keep or return. Doesn’t collect dirt like the ESR and Apple silicone cases do. Nice colour (green). The fitment and buttons are good. The only negative is it’s quite bulky due to the raised edges. If the raised screen and camera edges were reduced slightly it would be a keeper. £16 with the current discount is worth it. Strong magnets.

I’ve ordered a Ryan London leather sleeve as Mediadevil appear to have put their preorders on hold.

Thanks for sharing the link, I just ordered a Ryan London leather sleeve for my 15 Pro, as I prefer if possible to go caseless this year.
