Confused about the O2 comment.. I am with O2, I just went into the App, -> Support -> Swap your Sim and I could just request a new eSIM. Had it all transferred within 2-3 minutes.
Was that the My O2 app? So you need to request a new eSIM rather than transfer the one from your old phone to new phone? Expecting my new 15 PM on Tuesday, so do I wait until I receive my new phone before requesting the new eSIM?

I have an o2 SIM as part of my Virgin Media Bolt package - kept it as a ‘spare’ saved on my iPhone and when I requested it as per the app you follow these prompts (as mentioned previously).

You’ll receive a OTP code for security purposes and once that’s done you’ll receive the QR code.

If you install the physical sim into your 15PM you can remove it once you’re done 👍🏽 IMG_4904.png

This must be fairly new! It looks like they now support online eSIM replacement. Nice 👍

I don’t have a physical SIM, but an eSIM on my current phone. So when new phone arrives, I just request a new eSIM on the My O2 app? How long does it take?

My O2 contract is about to end next month. I'd like to go with EE. Does anyone know of any discounts? Thanks

Same thing happened with me this morning. DPD 15 mins away the got the same message as you. He’s coming back tomorrow. Apparently!

I had this happen with Amazon UK. I had a right whinge at them as soon as I got the missed delivery email. They are going to try again tomorrow.

I even submitted a complaint. That driver was hopeless. I even saw them drive past at the time they said I missed the delivery.

I had a launch day order. It’s going to be two days after launch in the best case scenario now.

Other news.. collected the Ultra 2 earlier today. Love it!

Yes, I also think that EE was the first UK network to support Esim. Just had a quick read on Apple's Esim website and it looks like EE actually supports all of Apple's esim convenience feature such as quick transfer. I also found out that you can convert from a physical sim to esim (EE) using iOS itself without the need of the MyEE app or contacting EE.
Can confirm. Went from physical sim to eSIM through iOS when setting up my 15 PM and I’m on EE.

Finally started the process of setting up my iPhone as new. All apps have been downloaded.

Torras screen protectors came today and were installed on both iPhones. Pretty impressive and clean look. Gives more screen coverage than Spigen EZ Fit.

Its been a hectic day travelling and shopping and in between i visited 3 MM Kiosk and all 3 didn’t recognise my order number. So ill be posting my iPhone 14 Pro on Monday.

I hope you all had fun chasing your deliveries and ones who are still waiting for their new toys best of luck. Its wort the wait.

Time to wind down and catch up on Billions.

See you all around in the morning.

I might have been wrong but just did a quick google search, and it looks like EE supported ESIM in October 2018 as soon as iOS 12.1 was released (the update that gives ESIM capability) and o2 supported ESIM in September 2019, nearly one whole year after EE?

24 hours into using the 15 Pro Max (coming from 14 Pro) and I’m really loving it - feels great in hand, not too big, battery life is much better, USB C is far more convenient. The only problem I had was transferring my eSIM - it didn’t seem to activate - but got a new SIM pretty fast from EE this morning.

My partner was also taken by the yellow 15 which luckily was in stock in our local Apple Store, so picked one of those up this morning - a happy household!

I normally would not be up at 6am, but travelling back from Cornwall this morning so checked stock and nothing. Nadda.

It seems like there was Pro Max stock last night in some stores but not loads of it. Presuming this is maybe collections cancelled or not picked up?

Anyone upgrading from an 11 Pro Max? What can I expect in terms of upgrades? This is the longest I’ve gone without upgrading so hopefully it feels worthwhile

I've ordered some cases to try for the odd time I'll need a case. I've always bought Apple leather cases and each year they got worse.

Following up -

ESR cloud case with stand - will be returned as it collects far too much dust and dirt. I really like the stand, if only they made this case in leather.

Cyril by Spigen - will be returned as very tight fitting so not easy to put on and take off. Not a fan of the hard plastic back.

Elago Magnetic - 50/50 whether to keep or return. Doesn’t collect dirt like the ESR and Apple silicone cases do. Nice colour (green). The fitment and buttons are good. The only negative is it’s quite bulky due to the raised edges. If the raised screen and camera edges were reduced slightly it would be a keeper. £16 with the current discount is worth it. Strong magnets.

I’ve ordered a Ryan London leather sleeve as Mediadevil appear to have put their preorders on hold.

Morning guys, hope everyone is enjoying their new phones and for those waiting, hope you can get yours asap!

Want to check if I should panic a bit?! I sent my phone to MM and paid to special delivery at the post office. Phone was delivered yesterday ( Sat) at 9:18am as per RM tracking but did not ever show a proof of delivery picture. Azzin had mentioned they turned his phone around on the same day as receipt ( last Sunday). However when checking my order status it just says “Awaiting Order”. Given its £710 I’m bit like but did anyone else’s MM special delivery order take a few days for them to acknowledge receipt / process or send an offer as most seem to be same day? Thanks!!!

A customer review says the Elago has a pronounced MagSafe ring on the back (showing through the silicon). Did you find the same with yours?

I wouldn’t worry - these things inevitably slow down over the weekend and any payments made are the ‘next working day’. They’ll probably process and update it on Monday. If you’ve got a confirmed delivery then you should be fine.
