Managed to get through to EE and purchased at 13.25. Guy on the phone said he’s not sure i’ll get it for release date, & the online store is saying ‘within 14 days’, so we will see.

30% off with family & friends discount, so got the Pro Max Natural Titanium 256GB for £69.80 per month. So i can’t grumble!

Still on the phone to them ugh said having issues with system bringing up deals
 
got the email confirmation time stamped at 1:21PM, extremely stressful with different devices/browsers/apps. Seem to open up at around 1:20 where some errored out when trying to open the pre-pre-order making me submit an order to then error out again when selecting pay up front.

Finally got one browser to successfully pull up one of my pre-pre-order and everything after went smoothly (was asked a couple time for passwords) but was still able to select pickup on Friday (Sept 22) and an early timeslot. Not sure if I opted with the 256GB pre-pre-order if I would have had the options for a Friday pickup

Well that was a mess. Absolutely the worst iPhone ordering experience I've ever had. Expected to breeze through with my pre-pre order, thought that was the idea. As it turned out, waited 20 mins for the app to come online, only to find my pre-order page failing to load. In the end did it the old fashioned way on the MacBook, but missed launch day delivery. Went through again and managed to get a pick-up on launch day in Kensington. Not what I was expecting at all.

I had 2 phones sat awaiting the pre order today. Panicked a little when I realised it would only allow me to process one at a time. Fortunately both available on the same day next week.

Yeah the guy had to cancel my order from ‘flex’ (splitting phone direct debit and plan to individual bills) as they were having issues with that system to a ‘normal’ contract where it’s all one bill.

Went through quickly after that!

What an awful experience. Store kept going up and down quicker then a yoyo.
Finally got my order in at 1:34 and delivery estimate is 27thSep - 3rdOct.
Couldnt even collect from store (was showing unavailable) so will have to phone in work sick now.
 
Took over 20 minutes but finally got in!

No 256GB Black PM so decided to go for 512GB and got a 9am time slot which I'm pretty happy about tbh.

Will be my first year on the iPhone upgrade programme.
 
To the people mentioning its the first time never getting one on launch day etc, I may be missing something but how come people arent just ordering elsewhere, e.g. amazon that seem to still be all in stock?
 
Looks like Argos go on sale tomorrow. No time though.

Anyone have any idea what time launch usually is?
 
15 Pro Max - Black Titanium - 1TB. Pick up next Friday. No issues (for a change).

Took me about 3 hours to find 1 through Apple last year.

Sometimes nice to get it from Apple for support, and you get to add AppleCare into the same invoice which can be useful for expenses.

Apple is the only place that will guarantee launch day delivery. Amazon is usually the Saturday, sometimes the Monday
 
This is the first year I’ve not had a launch day delivery since the iPhone 4 but I’m away until the end of the month. I was aiming to order once delivery dates slipped a bit. Getting on the store seemed far worse than usual and by the time it was ready to go delivery was Oct 2 to 9 - which was what I was going for anyway so I’m happy, but it was much more effort than usual.
 
Wow, what a mess! First order failed at Apple Pay - error occurred. Placed order again, very slow but eventually it went through. But now I have two phones on order.. with two difference order numbers. one shows linked to my Apple ID the other says its not linked to my Apple ID.

Last year I ended up emailing Tim Cook due to the mess of pre orders.. his exec team got it to me on launch day. So they do have surplus stock

But it shouldn't be this complicated.
 
By far the worst preorder experience this year. Can’t even. The app wouldn’t load for ages, when it finally did it wouldn’t retrieve my pre preorder info. Kept erroring. This year I’ve only just managed to get one for pick up on launch day after work. Couldn’t get delivery.

Awful experience.. took a whole 20 minutes to be able to enter the store. Delivery estimate is Oct 2 - 9. Card failed couple of times and then used Apple Pay. Nightmare! Now, hoping I get it sooner!

Urgh, my payment was declined…and I’m trying another card but that won’t go through either. What a joke.
