I put one of the spigen covers on and then I’ve put a magnetic USB-C charge adapter in the bottom so it doesn’t get full of gak

Those fortunate to have there devices already how are you finding it? The 16Plus is really nice to use compared to the 13Pro, the edges and weight feel much better in hand. Battery life is phenomenal. I’m really impressed by the 16 series tbh!

Ive gone from the 15PM to the 16PM and I honestly wish I hadn't bothered.

Camera control is really fiddly and I'm yet to be convinced. Maybe the AI stuff will make use of it better.

Feels like it should have been called the 15S.

I really like camera control. As someone who did a degree in photography and taught it for years it actually feels a bit more like a camera rather than a phone now

Just got my 16 Pro today, coming from a 13 Pro it feels so much nicer to hold. Camera control is going to take some getting used to, landscape is fine but I’m going to have to work on my grip and technique in portrait.

Got my 16 pro in white 512gb today, Liking it, but camera control is a poor version of the action button and first time I tried it, it wouldn't actually take a pic. Also poorly placed for vertical pictures/videos, which won't be useful for the tiktok brigade I imagine. (They only tiktok I have is a clock).

Finally got my phone today after the UPS code fiasco, I’ve set it up once but it wasn’t pulling down my apps from the App Store so I’ve been advised to restore from a backup.

I thought Apple was meant to “just work”
One big problem sorted now onto the next one.

I always restore mine from the latest iCloud backup, never failed me yet.

Hi. I’ve decided to return my iPhone 16 pro Max as it’s not much of an upgrade compared to my iPhone 14 and I’ve not used the camera touch button once as I hardly zoom in and out of any pictures. the camera is great but not enough of a reason to keep it.

The Apple website states the following:

You have until 04 October 2024 to start a return online or in store. Please print a free shipping label and send your items) back to Apple.

I like the collection take place on Monday. Does that mean I can initiate the return tomorrow?

I've been looking for the 256Gb, in Amazon they keep randomly appearing 512 gb; a handful of units...

The extra £200 for the capacity, have stopped me more than my fair share, tbh...

I currently have 14 PM, with 128, with 30gb to spare; so I think the extra capacity is not needed, and prefer to use those extra £200 in new AirPods.. anyway; needed to share with a group of people that'd understand this back & forth... :)

Same here. I didn’t even realise I had eSIM until sorting out my new 16 Pro today. It just transferred it in seconds.

This is clearly the future.
I was stunned (as someone who works in tech) at how seamless the transition was to eSIM. I guess someone has driven people to get their act together. I had an absolute nightmare when I bought my Watch Ultra and try to transfer the eSIM over (let alone do a physical SIM).

The biggest thing was not having to mess around with the SIM ejector pin.

My order 7th-14th October, preparing to ship as of this morning. Hopefully here for Monday.

Coming from a 12 pro max, hopefully should be a nice upgrade (16 pro max - natural)

Got my 16Pro yesterday now off to Apple Store to complete my trade in, what are the chances of me walking out without making a further purchase🤨

I've bought a USB C blanking plug for my iPhone 16 Pro to stop the gunk getting in, but your lightning/usbc adapter will work well too, unless the adapter gets filled with gunk :)

Looks like stock issues sorted for the 16 Pro - almost all stores have the entire selection in..

If you have an Apple store nearby go there and have them use the machine to install a Belkin screen protector. You have to buy it at the store as it is packaged for machine application.

I have never been able to install a screen protector without bubbles so always have Apple do it.
Did this last year for the first time, would recommend it. When it's fitted well it's almost unnoticeable apart from being able to feel the raised edges. The warranty is worth it, I'm about to get my third replacement. The first one had a tiny red mark on the protector which the Apple Store replaced without quibble, the second and third developed bubbles near the corners after a few months each and required warranty claims to Belkin (so you need to wait for a replacement to be sent to you from Belkin, then take it into an Apple Store for application). Plus the Apple Store messed up the application a couple of times, each time they just binned it and got another fresh out from their stock and re-applied it without complaint. So really I'm on my sixth or seventh screen protector all for the one original price (which you can also use EPP on if you have it).

I'm very happy with mine. I got the screen protector on with no problem, and the Spigen Enzo Aramid MagFit fits well.

I don't notice any problems with tapping the screen, although I did install an update when I got it and I'm not sure if this fixed it.

Once or twice I got the message "iPhone requires your passcode after restarting" and the phone hadn't restarted, unless it restarted with a matter of seconds. The last time was today and I locked the phone, put it in my pocket, and then took it out to unlock it to show my bus ticket. Not sure if this is widespread or something that I'm doing?

Do you think paying £68 a month for the 512GB 16 Pro Max is a good deal with EE? They are offering unlimited everything...
If it’s over 24 months it’s a good deal, I similarly took the 512GB 16 pro from EE for £63 a month so I’m guessing the extra fiver a month is the difference between Pro & Pro Max.
