Much prefer e-sim and how easier it is to move form one iPhone to another. iPhones get more and more advanced and yet we still want to stick little bits of plastic in a tray to get it to work. Why?
With you on this, been on a e-sim for a few years now and much prefer it, won’t ever go back

Not in our case

We enjoy going to the caravan a lot through the year, and I was removing the my iPad Unlimited Data Sim and placing into the Maxview Router so the family could surf, then placing it back in after the holiday.

I’ve now purchased the 2024 IPad with only an eSIM and had to transfer over the physical Sim details earlier today. Which means I can no longer use the Sim in our router, and now need to purchase another plan.

Checked my 13 pro max price yesterday with Apple and it was £400 exactly.

Checked it after the keynote and it has gone down to £355! 🤦🏽‍♂️

I posted this in the iPhone 15 thread earlier.

https://sell.smartcellular.co.uk/

Has anyone used this site before, they are offering £690 for my iPhone 15 Pro 128GB which seems too good to be true, but they seem a legit company and have plenty of reviews. 14 days to get the phone to them too.

I used them before, they came back to me and said the phone wouldn't get that price and offered to either sell it for a lower price or return it for free. I opted for return and they did return it no problem. They are legit and I guess if your phone is in the condition you say it is, they should be fine.

Give music magpie a try.

Why though? You can get the phone for free or a huge discount if you just marry a provider for a few years. Why wouldn’t someone do that?
On contract?
Getting the iPhones on contract is really expensive these days unless you can get big discount from one of the network providers. I think on EE, the iPhone 15 Pro Max is like £80 a month +

Just got successfully pre approved with Barclays for the 24 month interest free plan

Been upgrading every 2 years so due a new one.
Think it was Apple Intelligence that sealed the deal but also USB-C and the Bigger screen are decent.

Will AI be available in the UK on release date, or do we need to wait till the 17 before seeing good results?

Got my pre order ready to go. Trading in my 15 Pro Max, will only be paying £9 more per month on the barclays 24 momth interest free deal. Switching to the regular sized pro this year as it has the same cameras, I don't need the extra battery life that the pro max gives you and the smaller phone is easier to carry when I am running. Roll on Friday!

I can’t recall the procedure for trading my current iPhone in store rather than needing to send it away to Apple. Do I order for in-store collection using 24 monthly payments and not choose the trade in option in the app? Then when I collect ask to trade it then to clear my previous finance deal?

Also do I receive any refund for the 12 months remaining of AppleCare I added on to my previous finance deal?

I think it's finally time for me to upgrade, but I'm not happy about the moderate changes between this and the previous generation. I'm very tempted to hold off another year but I desperately want a better camera.

Held my brother-in-law's 15 Pro Max earlier and it's just massive.. If there's really no difference than screen and battery between the standard Pro and Pro Max, then I'll get the smaller device.

Some rumours before the event postulated that the Pro Max might get a slightly better main camera sensor, is that the case or will we need to wait for hands on/tear downs?

I'm wise to Apple's upselling tactics, they won't get me with the £100 dangle for the 256GB versions if there's nothing compelling. Although the paltry 128GB in the base version has me rolling my eyes.

I created a separate thread which listed ALL of the spec differences between the 15 Pro and 16 Pro.

There's very little to be excited about - it's very slightly taller, wider with a slightly larger screen. There's the Camera Control button. WiFi 7 (instead of WiFi 6). Quite a few camera upgrades geared towards pros recording video/audio but not for the everyday user. The battery is about 10% better in terms of how long it will last on a charge.

Also, it's 12 grams heavier (will be noticeable).

For me to upgrade it will cost me around £200 all in (new case, screen protector, paying off the remainder of contract).

For the first time ever, I'm seriously considering not upgrading - it's just not worth it if you're coming from the 15 Pro.

I’m in pretty much the same dilemma. Hate apple’s tactics to force people to pay the extra for storage. 128gb on a pro phone is just stupid.
