Argos were all over the place last year if I remember correctly. Their stock availability was a lottery on the launch day and a few days afterI'm using Argos this year as I have a voucher to use. From previous years I remember that they don't take pre-orders at exactly 1pm but that their time to upload the phones on to their website. Is this still the case this year? I missed last year...
Yeah, when pre order is live on FridayI can’t remember…
Can you specify in store pickup in the pre-order configurator in the Apple Store app? I’d prefer not to have the iPhone delivered and left on my porch.
I've just got pre-approved. What happens though if I change my mind on Friday and don't preorder? Will they remove the check?
Checked my 13 pro max price yesterday with Apple and it was £400 exactly.
Checked it after the keynote and it has gone down to £355! 🤦🏽♂️
I think Jin still calls by here, but I most recently saw him dancing the night away with myself and others at ‘disco RD’, which is a nightclub that has a great DJ. 🥳Hello again lads! Where did jin go....
I think the upgrades for the Pro this year are not that great. Unlike most people in this thread I really couldn't care less about this AI nonsense. I don't need an AI to help me write better, thank you very much. The Genmoji will probably be my most used feature, lol. I think Apple is over-promising a bit with all the Siri context stuff. And I don't use Apple apps for things like Mail and Calendar anyway. But we shall see.
We shall see because, despite all this, I will still be buying a 16 Pro Max. Because I buy the new iPhone every year, and that's just the way my life goes.
I think the new colour looks really good and much better than the rumours suggested, BUT it is simply not a colour for me. It screams Charlotte Tilbury. My ex got the Natural Titanium last year (I got the Blue, as I usually always like to get the 'special' colour) and I was kinda jealous of how sleek it looked, so that's what I'm going for this time round.
I went for smaller pro and I actually prefer - its a lot nicer to hold one handed.I thought the phone announcements were excellent, AI actually looks great and so do the camera upgrades. I was planning on going regular from my 14PM but now think I’ll do the smaller Pro
Orders open at 1pm on 20thI do quite like the desert titanium, but bet it will sell out by 8.03 am just when the page opens for me
If you’re already on the iUP and have the requisite 12 months paid off already, you can go into the iUP section of the Apple Store app once pre-orders go live and reserve your new handset. Schedule your pickup time, turn up at the Apple Store, transfer handsets and hand the old one back when wiped.Anyone here who is on IUP? What is the process of going from 15 to iPhone 16?
I’m contemplating going for the iup this time. Trying to work out if it’s better to do the 0% 24 month or IUPIf you’re already on the iUP and have the requisite 12 months paid off already, you can go into the iUP section of the Apple Store app once pre-orders go live and reserve your new handset. I go 24 months. This is because I swap each year with my other half and sell the 2 year old phone to a friend, family member or recycling company to recoup cost.I’m contemplating going for the iup this time. Trying to work out if it’s better to do the 0% 24 month or IUP
IUP is 0% over 20 months vs 0% over 24 for the regular financing. AppleCare is a mandatory inclusion with iUP (someone correct me if I’m wrong) vs optional with 24 month 0%. IUP is in-store only vs delivery option with 0% 24 month. And obviously no ‘hand back’ the handset after 12 payments for next years handset and start a fresh new 20 months iUP commitment. IUP being 0% over 20 months means higher monthly payments vs the same handset & AppleCare over 0% 24 months.I’m contemplating going for the iup this time. I’ve had comprehensive insurance of some kind (AppleCare+ since 2020) since 2011, except for a 3 month period in 2016. Naturally, that was the one time my phone flew out of my hand and smashed the screen.Does everyone do AppleCare?
I think I’ve only ever had it for one year the last ten. Maybe it’s worth an investmentI’ve had comprehensive insurance of some kind (AppleCare+ since 2020) since 2011, except for a 3 month period in 2016. Naturally, that was the one time my phone flew out of my hand and smashed the screen.
