Finally upgrading from an iPhone 12 to a 16 Pro in Natural colour. Just done the finance check for the 24 month thingy and just waiting until Friday now. Got £150 trade in the 12 which was good enough, even though it was £170 yesterday! Was hoping for an Ultra 3 watch to upgrade my S5 one but that will have to wait.

Pre-approved 16 Pro 256gb in natural titanium... upgrading from a 12 Pro 128gb. Already bought the case (Stone Grey) and Torras screen protector. Just waiting for 1pm Friday to complete the order then, what feels like, the long, long wait for it to arrive!

Apple is giving me £485 for my 256gb 14PM, which is more than I expected. I have £155 outstanding finance, which Apple will clear and put the remaining £330 towards the handset — that brings the monthly cost lower than what I pay now. But I'm tempted to pay the £155 out of pocket and bring the monthly price even lower

Trade in prices are falling fast. I have my iPhone 15 Pro 128GB in my shopping cart with MusicMagpieI. It’s still showing the old price. No idea what will happen when I try to check it out 🤞

I think £500 is the current price

I did check it this morning and you’re correct but others are offering up to £540. That said it’s falling fast.

MM used to let you save your cart for 21 days and they honoured the price. Been doing that for years. But the new app and website removed the save cart function. So this year I added it and I’m pushing my luck to see what happens when I check out the cart. Bet it just throws up an error and empties the cart.

I’ll be selling my device on Facebook like last year, think the recycling places are taking the piss a bit with what they’re offering

Ok details all saved to buy the phone when pre-orders open.

This is the first time ive had a e-Sim that I need to transfer with EE. I vaguely remember people had issues with this last year. Am I imaging it?

What the process for removing the e-sim from my current and adding it the new phone.

Moving from a 15PM to a (hopefully) 16PM

Would highly highly suggest no one uses this site. Filter the reviews for 1 star, and you immediately see red flag, after red flag. The five star reviews can easily be faked.

As the old saying goes, its too good to be true…
Yeah I was quoted £855 for 15pm this seems to high to turn a profit, but also the website has so many typos and broken english. I gave them an old bank (incase they used my details lol) and didnt provide IMEI. Probably wont use them to be honest

It is available in October with language set to English US, then available for English UK in December.
Do you know if the UK is getting all the features the US will get, or will it have the same restrictions as the EU?

I'm looking forward to getting the 16 Pro in natural titanium. I'm still using the iPhone 13! I have to say, it's lasted really well, although the battery isn't as good with 82% max capacity.

Sorry, I haven't read all the posts so maybe this has been asked already but....

Do we know what time of day the Apple UK online shop will go live to place iPhone 16 orders? I seem to remember that it's usually midday now (since they stopped aligning the worldwide times with California timing). Can anyone confirm or correct what I'm thinking on when the store will go live on Friday? Has a time been officially confirmed and if not then can someone with a more reliable memory than me confirm what time the store went live last year since I assume that's probably a reasonable default assumption for when it will go live this year?

You can place your pre-order today, then you just finish it on Friday. I did mine today and it told me that it opens at 1pm on Friday (UK time) to confirm it.

Ah. Thanks so much Webcat86. I already did my pre-order yesterday but I obviously missed the bit when it told me when actual placing/committing those pre-orders will start on Friday so that's really helpful to have such a definitive answer.

In fairness to me from previous experience of what happened last year I had anticipated the UK store opening for pre-orders while the Apple presentation was still going on so I was doing my pre-order on my iPad yesterday while at the same time half watching the final bit of the Apple presentation so my concentration wasn't entirely on the pre-order process. Not that it makes much difference though I think, there is no race to get a pre-order in as early as possible since it is how quickly you can turn your pre-order into a confirmed order on Friday that determines whether you can get launch-day stock or will have to wait a bit. Just for fun when I upgrade (which is most years) I always try to get my new phone on launch day and so far have been successful every year since my first iPhone 4.

Did your pre-order definitely go through? I've just checked my emails and have a confirmation from Apple, which also says 1pm BST, so you should have one too

That's odd. Minutes before (also while the Apple presentation was still in progress) I placed an actual order for Apple Watch and did get an email confirmation for that but when I placed my iPhone pre-order later during the presentation I haven't had any email confirming that. I have just opened the Apple Store app on my iPad though and checked there and that is showing me that I do have a saved pre-order and all the details (model, storage size & colour) are as I specified in my pre-order so it all looks good. I also see that underneath those pre-order details it does say that actual orders open at 13:00 on Friday so I guess I'm all set, apart from the mystery of why I never got any email confirmation (and I have checked my spam folder as well). A temporary glitch in Apple's systems I suppose.

Anyway, thanks for prompting me to check that my pre-order had registered. Much appreciated.

Just a quick note:

I’m selling my 15Pro Max (256GB) with topcashback this year! .. they are offering more than Music Magpie and also give a £25 Cashback once it goes through which makes sense to me. They also seem to allow for gentle wear and tear on the phone and still give a decent price. Time will tell!

Are they using webuyanyphone? They are one of the sites offering £540 for my iPhone 15 Pro.

nipping in to say hello to the UK regulars 👋

had already pretty much decided not to bother this year, but enjoyed the Keynote last night regardless. I'm doing less & less that even slightly taxes a phone these days (daily photos, simple apps & handful of texts) and last years launch day 15 Pro still immaculate with 100% Battery Health ...

have fun y'all!

Don't think I'm bothering this year, first for me but the 16 pro just sucks IMO

It's not built for AI, Tim is full of *****, AI was never coming to the 15 or 16, they've rushed it out and it's not even ready yet.

So what do we get? camera button from Sony Ericsson 2006....

Even that clown mrwhostheboss new video said it's utterly pointless and actually takes longer than just tapping the screen ffs.

It's another action button, no innovation just add a button.
