It’s Apple or JL for me really as I’ve got vouchers I can redeem for both, and can purchase more with work perks scheme at a discount. Fingers crossed.

I take that back, apparently JL did a pre order this year.

My advice would just buy from Apple at this point as most places have done preorders.

Apple tend to get the delivery times down quite quickly. And Apple will get the stock first.

And if you find it somewhere else sooner then go for it. But I would still stick with Apple or John Lewis haha

Going from 14 Pro 256GB to 16 Pro 256GB. The slightly bigger screen, better battery life and lighter weight are my key ‘wants’ for upgrading. Also looking forward on the Action Button so I can map the Music app to it, getting one step closer to the much missed iPods of old. Looking forward on seeing how Apple implement ML to the extend that they’re promising. Could be the next Big Thing, could equally wind up being 3D Touch - will be nice to have but isn’t one the main draws.

We don’t spend much on eating out, don’t constantly renew/upgrade cars etc so my iPhone & music listening is my one serious indulgence. Happy to spend the money, even if the upgrades are only going to be incremental.

As for me, I barely use it. I have it mapped to a folder of shortcuts and that’s it. In comparison, with Apple Watch Ultra i’ve got it mapped to the Flashlight and I love it and use it daily, something that’s keeping me with the Ultra 2 (I’ve really wanted to jump to a Series 10 but I can’t do without the Action Button, something I never thought i’d say.)

•Got the 3pk ESR screen protectors from Amazon. They did the trick last few years. Can't go wrong for £7.

I'd like to know this too - I use the button on my AWU to start a workout. But that isn't needed on my phone. I'm going to miss the silent switch unless I can find a use for it I think!

What’s the usual situation with stock? My wife wants to order a Pro tonight and they’re showing as October 1-8 for delivery, store collection unavailable.

Is this likely to remain accurate or any chance that stock will arrive for the 20th? I’m collecting mine on launch day and obviously would be nice if we could just get both at the same time.

UAG Monarch magsafe case ordered, as well as a Caseology magsafe case too. Spigen screen protectors ordered also.

Need to do the same for my AWU2. Thankfully I've plenty of Ultimal watch straps in my bottom drawer for the AWU2 so will use them again as they fit me perfectly...

“Scam Guard detects and notifies you of any potential spam and scam calls. It means you’ll know the difference between a spam call and an important one, before you even pick up - helping to reduce your chances of becoming a victim of fraud.”

You also get dark web monitoring. It’s only £1 a month and I can remove it anytime.

No, not been in a location that has been enabled. Although, I will be in Bristol this week… so may be able to give it a try.

But I think the biggest question is how it works in a congested area.

John Lewis credit has suddenly declined the payment, sending me a text asking if it is genuine. I need to call them to confirm but of course it’s a sunday night and their lines are now closed. Apple have put my order ON HOLD 😳

I’m after a 16 PM in black - missed the pre orders foolishly!

Try 6am day of release or day after - if stock arrives you should be able to pick up in store.

Yeah, mine just went through.

Oddly, I ordered a silicone case at the same time, was charged immediately and was able to pick it up same day. I suspect like the cases the phones are already in the stores.

Apple just emailed to say my order is on Hold. I used Apple Pay linked to my Barclays debit card.

Money has been sat there. Went to website to input my card details manually but once I enter the bank verification code, it just goes to a blank page. Been like that over an hour now.

lol fair play I have watched some of the Apple YT videos but I just don’t see any point in upgrading this year, and I’m not going to just because my fav singer The weekend filmed his video using it 😂

The camera is the same and I can live without a spelling check AI correction tool

I also dislike the colour line up Apple need to launch better colours for us ladies or let us customise them ourselves, I do hope iPhone 17 Pro comes out with more features I’d also like if they buggered of the camera lens that stick out so bad that you now need to cap them incase you scratch them 🤦🏻‍♀️😂
