I haven’t used it yet as I don’t think my new plan goes live until I get my new phone, but will update once I have some idea.

For £1 a month it’s worth a try I guess.

I've got x2 EE SIMs (personal & business) and rarely do I get scam / automated calls etc...

Both have scam guard as well as the phones own software etc.

As you said, for £1 a month, it's worth running it

John Lewis credit has suddenly declined the payment, sending me a text asking if it is genuine. I need to call them to confirm but of course it’s a sunday night and their lines are now closed. Apple have put my order ON HOLD 😳
Your unit will be fine. You will be given a window to settle the payment

Moneys showing as pending/being taken now from my card at last. No emails to say an issue so fingers crossed it’s all good.

Paid via Apple Pay outright. First time I’ve done that. Always done Barclays finance or Iup in previous years.

Anyone know how easy it is to transfer EE eSIM over on Friday and the steps to do so?
If you’re using the iPhone migration wizard from phone to phone then it’s very easy and it will transfer it for you.

so I upgraded my iPhone 15 pro on the EE anytime upgrade. I was meant to pay an upgrade fee of £100 but EE kindly moved my contract forward by 1 week wiping this charge out.

Strange thing was the advisor didn’t mention me sending my old iPhone back so after a call to EE last night they have advised I do not need to send my old iPhone back which is strange being it’s upgraded on anytime upgrade.

They also provided it in a text to confirm. Has anyone else had this? I’m sceptical about whether I can sell the device or not!

Happened to someone last year , you are lucky but you need to make sure to go onto live chat or make sure someone said it on the phone so you have evidence. Then if they do eventually ask for it back, you make a complaint and reference the call or live chat and you won’t need to return it. EE complaints are good at honouring what has been said by an advisor.

Yeah the gent on the phone said it several times after I asked if he was sure I didn’t need to return it. And they sent me a text confirming it too.

This is my first year setting up my new iPhone using an eSIM. I’m on Spusu UK and they have provided a new sim QR ready to activate on my new iPhone. Not sure it will automatically transfer as I don’t think they support that feature but if it does then it’s all good. Either way I’m ready.

I've had an email that my Barclays has been setup and it's still preparing to dispatch for delivery on 20th. :)

I ordered my 16pm 256gb at 13:07 and got a delivery date of 25th-30th. Has anyone had a delivery date moved forward to an earlier day in the past? I’m kind of hoping that if some people cancel their orders that mine might get bumped up and delivered on release day.

Has anyone used Phone Box to sell their phone? I was going to send to Apple but having read some bad reviews about their resale partners I’m now looking elsewhere.

Has happened a fair bit in the past, just keep an eye on the order the day/night before and check for when the payment leaves your bank.

Newbie here , I'll be getting my first iPhone this Friday, Pro Max 1TB Desert Titanium. Apple took the payment last night for in-store pickup.

It's my first time doing an in-store pickup with Apple, do they let you choose accessories when you pick up the phone or are they in a hurry to get you out the store ?

My pick up time is in the afternoon, will I be able to go earlier and pick up the phone ?

Just got a text and email from O2 saying my delivery date has changed and should be with me ”in up to 1 week“, but MyO2 still shows the 20th 🙄

In reality the pick up time means nothing. You can get it whenever you want. It's just their way of trying to stagger collections throughout the day. They'll never turn you away. You may have to wait a bit longer, though.

They won’t hurry you out unless they are absolutely packed out. If you want to buy accessories you can and they may offer to help you set up your phone.

If they aren’t busy you can pick up outside of your window

Apple just emailed to say my order is on Hold. I used Apple Pay linked to my Barclays debit card.

Money has been sat there. Went to website to input my card details manually but once I enter the bank verification code, it just goes to a blank page. Been like that over an hour now.
You will need to phone Apple ( 0800 048 0408 ) I had to phone them to get this sorted, the online payment process didn’t work.

I spoken to my credit card company to inform them that this payment was genuine, then phoned Apple to process the payment again.

Did you upgrade over live chat?

Same. 30% friends discount
Ah that makes sense.

I was looking at doing it but could get no where near that price for the same contract and phone and that will be why.

Just out of interest can you add an Apple Watch to it FOC?

The other thing that put me off was having to add Apple care to it if I wanted that

Re apple watch yes i believe so

To anyone who buys via Barclays monthly payments and includes 2 year up front Apple Care:

I'm 1 year in to the 2 year payments plan and have just called Barclays to pay off the remaining year (selling my 15 Pro for a 16 Pro). When I placed the order last year, it included a 2 year up front costs for Apple Care. Am I right in thinking I can get a refund for the remaining year of the Apple Care? If so, do I have to contact Apple myself to do this, or does it happen automatically now I've paid off the Barclays finance?

Just ordered two iPhone 16s, a black for hubby and a white for me, both 128GB. Upgrading from an iPhone 11 and an Se 2nd Edition. Picking up on Friday.

No, but we use CEX and take them into a store. Best prices we can find and we take cash.
