Apologies if this has been asked but, when doing the iUP instore, it says I need to bring employment details and my addresses for the last 3 years. Do I need to bring payslips and utility bills? Or what else..?

I only did mine in June but all I had to take was my bank details for the direct debit and my driving license. They asked for my home address and work address plus how long I've lived/worked there.

That's all they need to run the credit check and set everything up.

Still no movement on my 8+ on EE's order page. Just says preorder confirmed. Guess I'm not getting it Friday. Even though they've taken the upfront payment already...

EE's website is terrible for confirmation of anything. I switched my tariff earlier this week and the change still hasn't reflected online.

I initially pre-ordered a Series 3 LTE watch just before 8am on launch day, as EE orders were open early, for delivery tomorrow.

After spending a few days mulling over the decision and attempting to rationalising the purchase, I put myself to the task of trying to find use cases where the upgrade would be justified. Reading a few online reviews was kind of the final nail in the coffin and ultimately, I have cancelled my Apple Watch pre-order and have decided to wait another year for an upgrade, so that any bugs present can be ironed out and battery life can be improved as this was one of the main factors for me to upgrade.

Anyway, I eventually come to the conclusion that I could have a new iPhone for around the same cost (£25 for Apple Watch & £15 SIM Only).

I am currently running a 6s Plus 128Gb and skipped last years incremental update so the upgrade in my opinion is justified, plus I am fed up of buying new charging cables so the wireless charging is a welcome addition. Plus, the looming Christmas season means that I can sell my current phone for around £350 and pick my two girls up an iPhone 6 each for the same price hopefully.

I pressed the switch yesterday on a new 8 Plus (64Gb Space Grey) with the telesales team for EE for only £42.00 per month with a £49 down payment.

Granted, I get a 2Gb data package (unlimited texts and mins) with this but my usage over the last two years has been under this as I don't use that much as I connect to Wi-Fi everywhere else I go. Still, a contract value of £1,057 over the two years cannot be complained about when comparing it to other providers who came out at over £1.5k! I have worked it out and the effective air time cost is £11 per month over the period!

For this that are interested, I have received a delivery update from both EE and DPD this morning saying that Gareth (my local friendly driver) will deliver it tomorrow!

I'm guessing that as I have reserved at my local Apple store to join the iUP that I won't get any sort of notifications today? I'm kinda feeling left out from all the notification excitement...!

I’ve also received a text from UK Mail saying delivery tomorrow, however my order still says preparing for dispatch and I can’t find the usual page where it is allocated to my Apple ID.

Is this not the same every single year though? Its a big operation so all the companies do work behind the scenes and the order status and shipping stuff is on a bit of a lag for whatever reason and it will all catch up today/tonight?

A question for anyone else that is doing a pickup tomorrow but opted to pay full price ahead of time.

My personal experience was that Apple reserved funds for my iPhones but that money is now back as available on my bank account.

My Apple TV which is being delivered however has been paid for and the money has left my account.

Does that mean I’ll be paying for the iPhones at pickup? So confused.

1100 - 1130 at the Apple Store Reading. I considered an earlier slot but decided I didn’t need to get up that early and the traffic would be hell trying to get over there for that time.

Good call for Reading.

9.30am Kingston (Surrey).

Traffic situation won’t be much better, but they open the Bentall Centre slightly earlier from memory, so I’ll go early and set up camp in the Costa Coffee on the top floor! :D

the site was http://supportprofile.apple.com which has been replaced with https://getsupport.apple.com

you can log in with your apple ID and see your devices, no idea if your order show up there now.. would be good to know if anyones 8 shows up?
